"Can you be mine?"

Minutes had passed, still he didn't said anything. Nag-angat ako ng tingin para matignan ang reaction niya, his face is full of emotion but i can't pin point what it is.

"Can you..." he stare at me with the same intensity.

"wait for me?" He said then look away.

My heart tightened. I look down and didnt reply. Maybe his still not ready? I dont know but i started to think the other way, that he doesnt want a commitment. The thought of that made my heart sink.

Since that day he became distant. Friday, he didn't come with us ng pumunta kami sa City mall pagka tapos ng exam. I wanted to talk to him but his always avoiding me. Today is wednesday and it's been 6 days

I know it's all because of what i ask and i started to regret it.

Am i going to lost him?

"Three consecutive days ka na nyang iniiwasan!"

I lean on the table, cause im not feeling well.

"I started to hate him!" Pagalit na sabi ni Macey.

Were at the canteen, it's our break and luckily we don't have a class this afternoon it's because were going to prepare for the upcoming intramurals bukas-two days ang intramurals namin, thursday and friday.

"Maybe he has reasons!" Sabi ni Angie, napalingon naman kami dito with a questioning look.

"Oo nga naman!" Sambat ni Kirt

"Reasons? What would it be?" Nakakunot na nuong sabi ni Queen. "Is it because his not ready? Or maybe his still not certain of his feelings" She continue.

"That's bullshit!" Macey hissed na binatukan naman ni Queen.

"Language!" Babala nito na ikana tiklop naman ni Macey.

"I saw how sincere he is on you Czah! I know he has reasons... ano yon? I dont know either but i can say that he really likes you"

He likes me? Well im madly inlove with him... I love him.

Inangat ko ang ulo ko at tumungo sa sinabi nito- it give me hope. But still, may mabigat paring nakadagan sa dibdib ko.
Im not mad at him, it's just that im hurt.

"Speaking off!" Umupo ako ng tuwid.

I saw him with Daniel and Neil at the counter, since our table is near the counter makikita talaga kami pag pumasok ka sa entrada ng canteen but he opted not to look our way. While Daniel give us a small smile.

Then left.

"Umalis na!" Padaskol na sabi ni Macey. "Hindi man lang lumingon dito!"

Bumuntong hininga sila at hindi nalang nagsalita. Dinamay ko pa talaga sila. Kaya i tried my hardest to smile.

"Hey!" Someone sit beside me.

It's Eli.

"Bakit ang lungkot naman ng atmosphere?" Magiliw na tanong nito then sit beside Angie.

"Someone's broken!" Sabi ni Macey. Tumaas naman ang kilay nito.

"Sino?" She scanned us. "Ikaw?" Sinamaan naman ni Macey ng tingin si Eli.

"Anong ako? Siya!" Tapos tinuro ako. Eli's mouthed formed and 'o' then tumawa kalaunan.

"Bakit mas mukha ka pang broken hearted kesa kai Czah?" Humagalpak ito ng tawa, Macey mimic her and roll her eyes.

I chuckle, tumawa naman sina Queen and Angie ng mahina dahil baka marinig ni Macey.

"Anyway, its my birthday!" Grinning from ear to ear.
