Dark Rider *EDITING*

Chapter 8

We rode for awhile and I looked at the necklace. Gandalf stopped us when we got to the edge of the familiar forest. I dismounted and whispered where to go to Shadow. She ran off and Allora held my hand. 

    "Let loose the horses. Let them go back their master." Gandalf instructed. They started to and Allora started shaking. I crouched to her level and smiled. 

    "I know this forest. Elves are not effected by the magic. Now, you have never been in here, have you?" I asked. She shook her head.

    "Okay, when the time comes, I want you to go to the tops of the trees and find Mirkwood. Go there and out run the creatures. I know you can do it. Stay with a guard until I get there." I told her. She nodded and she hugged me. I hugged back and let a tear go. I got up and sighed.

    "Let me lead." I suggested. Thorin nodded and started on the path. I followed it like I remembered until I came to a cliff. 

    "I have always gone this way. What happened?" I asked. Confused I turned around and they went another way. Allora started shaking and everyone seemed to get dizzy. And they split up. I sighed and I saw spider webs. I looked at Allora and nodded. She went up a tree and then came back down. She ran the fastest she could. I sighed and loaded my bow. I heard a crack of the trees. I looked around. Everyone was spread out and I lost sight of them. 

   There was breath behind me and it was too late. I was blacked out.

   I woke up hitting the ground. I sighed and split the webs around me. I sat up and Thorin helped me up. We ran for awhile until I saw an arrow come pass me to kill a spider. I grabbed my bow and loaded it. Someone slid under a branch and held his arrow to Thorin's head. 

    "Don't think I won't kill you dwarf. It would be my pleasure." He said. I saw it was Legolas and I pointed my arrow at him.

    "And it would be my pleasure to kill you." I snapped. He put his gaze on me and other elves killed the spiders. 

    "Rider. What are you doing with these dwarves?" He wondered. I pulled my bow string back to it's max and glared. 

    "I am here to help." I growled. He sighed.

    "Search them. Except Rider." He ordered. I kept my arrow on him as he walked and he watched me carefully. 

    "Put the weapon away Rider. Don't want to hurt your own kin do you now?" Legolas smirked. I lowered my bow and put the arrow away. 

    "Is the little girl safe?" I asked. He nodded.

    "She is with the guards, as you instructed." He replied. I nodded and they took the dwarves. I walked behind them and Legolas walked by me.

    "You remind of someone." He said. I looked down and gulped. 

     "Interesting." I replied. Bofur looked back at me and I sighed. Allora was talking to an elf guard and she looked over to me. She ran to me and hugged my leg.

     "I thought you would die." She said. I smiled and picked her up. 

    "Can I got talk to the king?" I wondered. Legolas nodded and I made my way toward the throne. He stood up at my presence and I set down Allora. 

     "Thandruill. I have a favor. I need this girl to stay here if you let my friends and I keep going on our journey." I asked.

     "But I want to stay with you." Allora said.

     "I will do so." Thandruill smiled.

     "Thank you. Allora," I went down to her eye level, "I see great things with you but I am not letting you come with us. The spiders were scary enough for you and there is something bigger going to happen. I want you safe. I will come back if I am alive." I told her. She let a tear slip and I touched her arm. She pushed it off and walked off with a guard. I sighed and looked down.

    I heard the doors slam of the jail cells and I walked off. Thorin passed me and I smiled. I went to the cell where Fili was.

    "Lucky. You don't have to be in these things." He said. I smiled and sat down in front of the cell. 

    "Well I am a hero here." I replied. 

    "So what are you going to do about Thorin? You have to tell him and us someday." He told me.

    "I don't know. It is just way to hard to tell you guys." I replied. 

    "Tell me or show me?" He wondered. I sighed and reached for my hood. I was about to pull it back but Thorin got thrown in a cell. I got up and went to his cell. 

    "I can get you out. All of you." I said.

    "Find Bilbo. He must be here somewhere." He instructed. I nodded and he grabbed my hand. I looked at him and he smiled. I came closer to the cell and he sighed. 

     "Good luck." He said. I nodded and he let go. I went to the cellars. I had a feeling he was down here and I heard footsteps. I saw floating keys and I smiled.

    "Hey Bilbo." I whispered, trying not to draw attention to us. He took off this ring and looked at me.

    "Let's go." I said. We rapidly went to the cells and unlocked them. We followed Bilbo back to the cellar and I looked at Thorin.

    "I am going out. Bilbo, I have your guys back." I said. Thorin looked down and sighed. 

    "Be careful. Orcs are around." He said. I nodded and went up the stairs. Tauriel looked at me and I ran pass her. I went to the river and went into the trees. They were going to close thr gate and I shot the guy in the knee and the other one in the elbow. They still closed the gate and Kili got up. He went and got shot in the knee with an orcs arrow while heading to the lever. He fell and a bunch orcs came out of hiding. Thorin looked at me and I flipped down from the tree. I ran to the lever and Kili got back into his barrel as I pulled it down. 

   "Rider!" Fili yelled. I ran beside them and fought off the orcs. Thorin watched in worry and I jumped to the edges of Bofur's and Thorin's barrels. I steadied them and fought off the orcs. I grabbed a tree branch and flipped onto it. I shot at the orcs and I flipped backwards when one jumped above me. I landed on Dwalin's and Balin's head.

    "Get your feet off me." Dwalin grumbled. 

    "Your better be greatful. Or you would be dead." I replied. I looked back at Legolas and one of my hairs came out of the hood. His eyes widened as we disappeared from the elves and eventually got out of sight.  Thank goodness.
