Alex's p.o.v.
When I turn back to where Brielle was and she isn’t there. Elle where are you? I look around the house BRIELLE WHERE ARE YOU? Then I heard laughter outside. I dashed out of the house. Then I see Brielle talking with a man, a very familiar man but he will step away from my daughter now.
Brielle come over here now, “but Daddy…” then she stops talking to this guy when she sees my face. She tries to act all innocent and hides behind my leg.
Brielle go sit down on the porch and we will talk later. Here is my phone play some games. Good she is distracted, then I can chew this guy out, coming up to my daughter, my baby girl.
“Sir she is fine I wasn’t tr….” I don’t give a fuck if you weren’t trying to do anything, the fact that you tried to do anything without an adult there, is a little suspicious don’t you think.
He smirks at me, “if I wanted to do something I would have done it already”. I gasp, you stay away from my daughter and I.
I will kill you if I see you again. He now grins, “now I know why he likes you, you are a feisty one”. I look back at Brielle to see that she is okay. When I turn back around to say something to him, he’s gone.
I know one thing, we are not staying at this house for a couple nights. Who was he talking about? Who likes me because I’m “feisty”? Whatever, I can’t tell anyone about this. I will just spend the days at my parents home, they should be free.
I reached the porch relieved to see Brielle was still there, I don’t know what I would have done if something happened to her. I really wish Danny were here, he would know how to deal with these kinds of things.
I crouched down by the chair she is on, Brielle I take my phone away from her, we have a change of plans, “we aren’t going to the science museum?” No not today, her lips quiver, “is it because I talked to Papa’s friend?” What? What are you talking about? I’m your only Dad, your other one died just before your second birthday. “But the man said he was his friend”, she insists.
I look around, this is getting really freaky, I pick her up and we go into her room which by the way is a mess but not the time.
Pack a few outfits Brielle, “why Daddy?” Because I said so, she rolls her eyes. Brielle look at me, I’m trying to understand why you thought it was okay to talk to a stranger.
She was on the verge of tears, “he said he was Papa’s friend and I thought…..” What, you thought you could get information from him? I stand up, and raise my voice. Brielle, that is not how the world works. Nobody just gives information just to be nice, they usually want something in return.
She is crying now,” Daddy I’m sorry I just wanted to know about my Papa”. You could have asked me, “but you never talk about him, you always get really sad and you don’t say anything”.
She runs to her room, I rub my forehead ugh. I walk up to her room and I see she is at the little nook area by the window. I packed up some of her clothes and when I’m done I walked up to her. Brielle, I want to show you something.
I hold my hand out and she looks up and grabs it. I walk her to a room I keep locked away and sometimes come in here to think, or a stress reliever. I picked her up so she is sitting on the desk, she watches as I go to a drawer and take pictures out.
I lay them all out on the desk. This is a picture of your father and I at college. This is when we started dating. “Ewww dating that is for old people”, what? I laugh in disbelief is this how kids really think nowadays.
No it wasn’t like that, we were friends then we got closer. Eventually after a couple years and we were both out of school we officially were a couple. Those were good times, over breaks we would travel the world, his family was super rich so us traveling was nothing to them.
