Adrien's p.o.v.
I arrived at the hospital right after eating breakfast. I’m told where the V.I.P. floor is and I search for his room. We opened the door, Daniel said he would be coming by later.
I can't believe the doctor knew him by name. That's not important right now, I just want Alex to wake up.
After an hour of phone calls for work I hear a voice from inside his room. I go inside and see he is awake, he tapped on his throat, signaling for water. I press the button for a nurse to come. Then get him the water and he gets ready to talk.
I'm glad you are here, “I'm sorry.” I bring him into a hug, baby it's okay you are good and everything is okay. “Was Dr. Jones here to help me?” Yes, he was, why? “Let's just say we have been here a lot because of Daniel. Dr. Jones was always our personal doctor.”
Daniel said he would be here later, “that's okay.” What happened? I was hoping you could tell me. Lisa said she came in for work and she saw you lying down by the pool and you were unconscious, losing a lot of blood.
The nurse comes in and asks how he is feeling, and she checks all the basics; his sight, hearing, reflexes then she closes the door behind her. He frowns and before he gets a chance to respond there is a knock on the door.
I opened it and it was Daniel and Brielle. “Daddy! You are awake.” She asks Daniel to help her on the bed and he picks her up. She puts her hand on his cheek. “Are you okay? I was scared?”
I’m sorry baby, I didn’t mean to scare you, and of you guys he looked up at Daniel and I. Brielle stayed in his arms, and he tells us what happened.
It’s really stupid, I got something to eat and I decided to go out to the pool, calm down I didn’t go swimming. I just put my feet in the water.
It was getting late and the sunset was really pretty so I decided to take pictures with my phone.
It was wet on the floor so I slipped and fell. I tried to get up but I just got light-headed and couldn’t get back up.
I know it’s stupid, Brielle tells him, “I fall all the time but I get back up.” Yeah because one of us is there to make sure you are okay and you just go back to whatever you were doing.
I went to the pool which I know is stupid, he flinches at the glaring Daniel is giving him, but I just needed to cool off.
Tension is high in this room right now, no one wants to say something to piss Alex off, but Brielle to the rescue. “Daddy your hair is really long”, she picks pieces of his hair up. We all burst out laughing, personally I don’t care short or long. As long as it is enough for me to pull during sex I’m good.
The doctor comes in and tells us Alex can leave but if he is feeling lightheaded or anything he can take the pills he is prescribed. I don’t want to take any pills that can affect the baby, “oh I promise you it won’t.”
Okay thank you doctor, “goodbye Alex” “bye Doc”, “bye Mr. Leroy.”
Shouldn’t we go to the OBGYN while we are here? “Yes” when was the last time you went? “ummm weeks ago I was supposed to have one in a couple of days.”
Dr. Rollins should be fine with it, “yes she should be.”
“Okay I’ll sign th… Oh right we aren't together anymore.” I take and sign the discharge papers.
We all go down to the area and Daniel and Brielle go to see the babies. We didn’t think it would be a great idea to be in the same room.
Dr. Rollins comes into the room, she smiles. “Wasn’t I supposed to see you in a few days?” “Yes doctor but I had a slip up and I wanted to check up on the baby.” “That’s fine now let’s take a look, lift up your shirt. This is going to be a little cold”, he flinches when she puts the gel on, she puts the wand on the gel.
“Do you want to know the genders?” Genders plural? I ask since Alex is too shocked. “Yes, b...but but that’s not possible. Just a couple weeks ago it was one child, o-one he held his finger up.”
Alex calm down, it’s okay... it’s okay. He repeats, “it’s okay”, he looks up at me, “it’s going to be okay?” Yes it will, I promise, we will be here for you.
Baby do you want to know the genders? “Yes”, he smiles.
I nod my head at the doctor, “you are having two baby boys”, yeah 2 boys I’m excited, but I don’t care what genders they are, but I’m really happy they are boys.
“How many pictures do you want?” Alex says, “3, 1 for each of our parents, and one for us.”
The doctor wipes off the gel and she gets the pictures for us and we leave the room. She tells us the next check up should be in 2 weeks but if there is a problem come in sooner.
We leave out and see Daniel and Brielle outside the door. Daniel sees us first, “is the baby okay”, he looks at Alex worried. Alex says, “we have a surprise.” “What?” We are having twins, “that’s amazing”. He genuinely seems happy for us.
Brielle doesn’t know what is happening, but she still hugs Alex’s legs. He talks to her, “Brielle, you are having two baby brothers.” She has a look of pure shock just like we did.
She points to his stomach, “you have two boys in there”, she tilts her head to the side. “Yes baby”, “yay!” she turns around to Daniel, “Papa I’m going to have two brothers.”
“Yes you are”, “does that mean I can tell them what to do? like Daddy does to Adrien. We looked at her and burst out laughing, “no you can’t boss them around.” She says, “it’s okay, I can’t wait to tell Hunter.” We shake our heads at her, of course she is going to tell her ‘boyfriend’.
We leave the hospital and It’s still the weekend so Brielle goes with Daniel. When we arrive home we all just sit in the dining room. “I’m having twins Adrien, there are two boys growing in my belly.” I know, do you want something to eat? “Always” he smiles.
It’s lunchtime and I make grilled cheese sandwiches for all of us, 4 to be exact. Alex speaks up, “Honey, I want to tell our parents this week”, okay, what’s the plan?
“Okay so I was thinking we should invite all of our parents to a party at your house.” Who’s? “Your house”. “We can tell them all at once and it will be a chance for my family to meet yours.”
“We haven’t had a family get together in a long time”, yes it’s long past due. “How about we do it tomorrow? Sunday.” I call and make sure they clear their schedules.
We go to separate parts of the living room.
I call my Mom, hey Mom is Dad there? No he is at work, on a Saturday? Yeah I know sweetheart but something came up. Is everything okay Mom? Yes, sweetie, everything is good. Okay well I called because Alex wanted to get both of our families together tomorrow.
I told him you would host it, it would be like a cookout sort of thing. That’s fine, just tell me the time and it’s going to see my babies again. Bye mom, I love you and I love you son.
Alex’s p.o.v.
I called Savannah, Hey Savannah are Mom and Dad there, yeah hold on a second. My mom say, Hi sweetheart, hi, so I called because I wanted to have a family cookout tomorrow, okay that sounds fun.
It’s going to be at Adrien parent’s house, okay I get to meet my future family-in-laws, is that even a thing? If it wasn't before it is now. I smile, I love my mom, I miss her. Love you guys, see you tomorrow, love you Alex.
After we finish our calls we go out, and just enjoy spending time with each other. We eat out and when we come home we take a bath together and go to bed, tomorrow is going to be eventful.
