"Vic, can you drive any slower?" I sarcastically asked, crossing my arms. Vic sucked his teeth, rolling his eyes. "Shut your sarcasm right now, I'm driving as fast as I can, Jessica."

I sighed, staring at him. "Why do you think they broke up?"

He shrugged, heavily sighing, "Could be the long distance, maybe."

"I honestly think Julia can handle long distance, there's some cons to it, but I know both of them are strong enough...there could be another reason?"

Vic pulled up into the driveway, and we raced out, up the porch steps, and Vic immediately knocked - more like banged - on the door, until I told him to hush.

"Mike will probably not be opening the door, so..." I pulled out two bobby pins I had in my hair, and bent down, holding the doorknob.

"How the hell are you going to pick a lock with bobby pins, Jess? Don't you need a tension wrench?"

"Chill, Victor, chill," I chuckled, demonstrating for Vic. "You can do this by first snapping the bobby pin in half where it naturally bends in half, and then bending the straight bottom half of the pin to form a 90 degree angle, and bend it two-thirds up, creating a tension wrench," I turned towards Vic, smiling innocently. He looked impressed, blinking numerous times. I turned back to the knob, and placed the tension wrench I created, in the bottom of the key hole. I held my other bobby pin, and snapped it in half, putting it in the top of the lock. I placed pressure on the bottom pin, turning it right, while I wiggled the top pin, thus opening the door. "Ta-da," I stood up, as Vic applauded.

"You've known this for how long, and haven't told me?"

"Since I was twelve," I chuckled.

"We could've broke into so many houses, even classrooms, during high school!"

I scoffed, and dragged Vic inside. As we got closer, I could hear the clashes of cymbals, and pounding of drums, and looked towards Vic.

"He moved his drums to my old room, after I moved out. He's upstairs," Vic replied, and followed me as I walked up the stairs. We inched closely towards his old bedroom, and the drum noises became louder. The door was halfway open, and I slowly looked inside. Mike seemed to vent all his feelings on his drum set. He was pounding on them, and as I listened closely, he was drumming to Sugar, We're Goin' Down by Fall Out Boy in the background, Julia's favorite song.

Vic opened the door, and walked in, standing in front of the drum set, and crossed his arms. I followed in, and thinking Mike would stop, he didn't. Each and every second, he would pound harder and harder on the drums, and continously clash the cymbals. Vic yelled over the drums, "Mike!" He continued, calling out his name, yet Mike paid no attention. I beamed at Mike's iPod, which was connected to his speakers, and walked towards it. As I located the outlet, I pulled out the plug. The sounds of Mike's drums were now bare, and I waited until he noticed.

"Michael Christopher Fuentes!" I thundered, and soon the room was pin drop silence. Mike dropped his drumsticks to the ground, and Vic and I finally got a sight of him. I stared at him, and his appearance made my heart crack. His face was bright red, as he was panting for breath, and there were tears in his eyes. His head hung low and he ran his hand through his hair.

His voice was shaky as he took heavy breathes, "Jesus Christ, I-I'm all alone again."

"Did he just quote Brand New?" I whispered towards Vic. He shrugged, looking towards Mike.

"Michael," Vic called out, sternly using his full name. Vic walked towards him, and bent down, wrapping his arms around him. Mike silently cried, hugging Vic. "You're not alone," Vic told him, patting his back. Mike pulled away, sighing.
