Chapter 14: Murderer (Prince Alexander Chapter!)

 It's been a whole day since Gabriel and I had began to look for Lucas.

"I can't believe it took you two whole weeks in order to realize Lucas was missing!" Gabriel scoffed.

He was covered in twigs and leaves.

So was I.

We were headed to Lucas's favorite getaway spot in this very forest.

Well, at least I had hoped this was his forest.

"I'm filthy!" Gabriel complained.

"So is your mind." I stated.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN?" He shrieked.

"The way you approached the princess on her birthday.. It seemed like you wanted to do some very inappropriate things. Most of all, you sounded like a total jackass."

"I sounded THAT bad?!" Gabriel sighed, disappointed.

"I'll never get her.."

"Neither will I or Lucas. She's hard to get, lemme tell ya." I groaned.

"The only reason we'll never get her is because she is in love with someone else." Gabriel took a few twigs out of his hair.

"Do you possibly know who it is?" I asked while cutting away some bushes.

"Opal." He stated.

I stopped in my tracks.

"Opal? Her guard?" I turned to Gabriel, and he nodded.

"I've seen the way Opal looked at her when we were trying to win her heart. I noticed the way Aura would occasionally glance at Opal. She acts the same way as if a man were in love with a woman."

Gabriel smiled.

"I mean, I don't believe its wrong or anything. I think love is love, and we all have to learn to respect that."

I stared at him.

Well, he does have a pretty good point.

"That's true." I continued walking.

I looked up at the trees.

"I just want her to be happy, then. She's quite rude though." I laughed.

"Yeah. Did you see the way she insulted me? She called me obnoxious."

"That's because you were being obnoxious! That's no way to approach a woman, you doofus."

Soon, we both came upon a beautiful part of the forest.

Sunlight seeped in through the trees.

Animals were surrounding a tree stump in the middle.

Lucas was in the middle, laughing and playing with the animals.

Gabriel and I stared in complete surprise.

I never knew Lucas was an animal lover.

"Lucas!" Gabriel called.

The animals all ran away.

Lucas turned to face us.

"Gabriel! Alexander!" He exclaimed with joy.

We ran towards him.

"We're so glad you're okay." I smiled.

"We have to get back to the castle, or else Princess Aura will become worried as to where we are."

Lucas's eyes grew wide, and he fell off of the tree stump.

"N-N-NO!" He screamed.

We looked towards him in confusion.

"Do you know something?.." Gabriel asked.

"P-Princess Aura.." He gulped.

"I-Is the one who killed her own parents. I'm assuming she killed her sister too, but.."

He looked sternly towards the both of us as he stood up.

"The murderer must be stopped."
