Finally.

It's the day.

The day has come.

The day has come for my parents demise.

Yesterday, Opal and I spent the whole day planning it out.

I'm excited.

I jumped out of bed and pulled out my elegant birthday dress.

I brushed my hair and placed my special butterfly pin in my hair, smiling with pleasure.

"I can't wait.." I told myself.

I heard a knock on the door.

"Who is it?" I asked, using the most innocent voice I had.

"Opal." She stated sharply.

"Opal! Come in!" I opened up my locked bedroom door, only to see Opal carrying a beautiful bouquet of flowers, and a gorgeous outfit.

"H-Happy birthday!.." Opal exclaimed awkwardly.

I gasped.

"O-Opal.. R-Roses and everything? Roses are my favorite!"

I took the lovely bouquet and sniffed the beautiful flowers.

"Sorry, I didn't know what to get you.. B-But I figured you loved roses since you always wear them in your hair." Opal sheepishly blushed.

"I'm just glad you like it."

I grinned and gave Opal a big hug.

"I'm so excited! I can't wait for.."

We both gave each other an evil look.

"The murder plan." We both whispered.

I never got any birthday surprises from my parents on my birthday.

Usually, only Charlotte would get them.

So Opal's bouquet was a huge thing for me.

I adored those roses.

I placed them in a vase, and put the vase of flowers onto the windowsill.

"I have everything ready. All we have to do is wait for tonight." I smirked.

It had become night.

I stood in the ballroom, greeting everyone who came to celebrate the future Queen Aura's birthday.

Opal had agreed to help guard the palace from intruders.

"Today's the big day!" A woman exclaimed. "Have a wonderful birthday, and I hope you'll be happy with the prince you choose."

I smiled nervously, but then once she left, I shuddered in complete disgust.

There is no way I'm ever marrying a man.

Once I rule this kingdom, then I will be able to marry the true woman of my dreams.

Opal.

After I had completed greeting everyone and welcoming them to my grand ball, I stood by the thrones with my parents.

My parents had Opal guard the thrones, just in case if anyone had tried to make a move.

Suddenly, 3 princes approached me.

They all bowed.

"Hello, my stunning Princess Aura." The men had all greeted me.

I looked towards them all with a very disinterested expression.
