"Thanks for coming in on such a late notice! I have to run, my wife is waiting.. Well not actually but you know what I mean!!" Mr. Uzaki called from the back office. "remember to lock up and count the till and-"
"I got it, sir. Get going!!" Akari called while finishing a transaction with a customer.
"I owe you. Big time!" He grabbed his keys and shoved on his coat.
"Bame the baby after your favorite worker!!" She laughed too him as he ran out the door with a wave. Akari shook her head, her short, blonde hair tickling her cheeks. She got into position, a stool behind the counter and the latest "jump" in her hand and began her shift.
It was about 3 hours and 16 customers later when there was a ruckas coming from down the street. She just heard it when customer 16 walked out the door, the was hollering and chattering, laughing and lots and lots of foot steps.
"Is there a parade I didn't hear about?" Akira set down her manga and hopped off the stool to take a peek out the door but was met with the very group causing the commotion.
Very tall, very handsome boys dressed in red track suits with school bags tossed over their shoulders came through the door.
"G-good afternoon!" Akira called before scurrying back behind the counter. There were so many of them. At least 10, maybe 11 or 12. They chatted amungst themselves and split into groups. The tallest split with three others, and was bothering one of the shorter players with shoulder length hair that was obviously bleached before.
The tall one kept asking the long haired boy about setting for him, they play volleyball, and helping him practice but the boy was too bothered with his handheld game to pay him any mind. I caught a name but no one responded to it.
Hinata? Must be one of the other members of their team.
After some of the other members already got their snacks and left the group of 4 finally came to the counter. Kuroo, who Akari learned is the captain, came first. He had some sushi and a water.
"8.25, plea-"
"what do you think?" Kuroo asked her out of the blue.
"what do I think about what?"
"Well you heard the situation. Kenma here has a real issue with our poor Lev. Do you think they should spend time outside of practice or no?"
"may I ask why you're asking me?"
"you've been listening. And watching." Kenma stated without looking up from his game. Akira tensed for a moment before giving in.
"I think they should but not alone. Kenma-san-"
"Just Kenma is fine. Thank you."
"..Kenma might, I dunno, take his life points of you get what I'm saying."
Lev and Yaku glanced at eachother while Kuroo stifled a laugh and laid for his stuff.
"Unfortunately, I do."
Kenma paid for his slice of apple pie and water then Lev and Yaku paid for their sandwiches and water after. They all stood around for a few more moments, discussing what activity the 4 of them should do together for Kenma and Lev bonding time.
"Why not the arcade?" They all looked at Akira, who was flipping her Manga back open. "Kenma seems to love games, and Lev.. Well I think he's down for anything. And it seems like nothing will happen if Kenma isn't on board so.. Arcade."
Kenma sighed and Kuroo lit up. "Perfect!! Thank you... Uh?"
"Akira."
"Thank you, Akira. Well be going to the arcade tomorrow." Kuroo gave a smile and lead the group out of the store.
What an interesting bunch.
