"Emilie, can I see you for a second?" Jack calls as he peers his head into the living room from the kitchen.
"Sure" I say as I continue to bounce up and down with Kyson in my arms.
"I don't know if I can do this. I'm suddenly as nervous to leave them as you are" Jack says as he begins to sweat profusely and his heart rate increases.
"Of course you can. Its going to be fine. You just need to relax and not over think" I advise as I hand Kyson over so I can make his bottle and find his food.
"Really? Are you sure?" Jack asks.
"Yes. They are going to be happy for you, and they might not be too scared. It's not for a while anyway" I respond.
"Yeah, you're right. This is just all in my head" Jack says as he regains control of his breathing.
"That's what you told me, isn't it? You know, you should really listen to yourself more often" I advise as I kiss his cheek and run my fingers through his hair quickly.
"Okay. Thanks" Jack says as he returns the kiss.
"Here. Do you want to finish setting up or do you want to feed Kyson?" I ask.
"I'm pretty much done here, so we can start soon" Jack responds.

"Can we watch a movie while we eat tonight?" Julia asks.
"I want to watch Snow Buddies!" Lucy exclaims.
"We're not watching a movie tonight. Sorry, babies" I say.
"Why not?" Julia asks.
"Papa has some big news, remember? But we can watch a movie afterward" I answer.
"Okay" Lucy agrees.
"Alright, here it is, kids. Mama and Papa are going on a trip some day" Jack exhaled.
"Disneyland?" Lucy asks.
"The zoo?" Julia adds.
"Not exactly" Jack laughs nervously.
"Are you okay? Do you want me to tell them?" I whisper.
"I'm fine. I just a minute" Jack responds as he excuses himself to go to the bathroom.

"Alright, lets get this show on the road" Jack says as he comes back wiping his face with a wash cloth and seats back down.
"It looks like Papa is feeling better" I observe.
"That's right, I am" Jack responds.
"The floor is yours" I say as I rub his shoulder.
"Mama and Papa need to go to Canada for a little bit for a business trip" Jack reveals.
"We can't go with you?" Julia asks.
'I'm so sorry, baby. But no. This is a big thing that isn't really safe for you" Jack answered.
"What's going to happen? Are going to be okay?" Lucy asks.
"Papa just needs to talk about his books, and he needs me to go with him" I respond.
"We can handle that, can't we go?" Lucy begs.
"No, I'm so sory, babies. We really have top do this alone. But we're going to leave you with someone and you'll have a good time of your own" Jack answers.
"With Grandma?" Julia asks.
"Or aunt Riley?" Lucy adds.
"Sure. We can do that. We'll see if they're available" I answer.
