Melissa turned off her phone, left her bedroom and went into the living room, where Francis and Mary were sitted in the couch. Both were still looking at everything around them, everything seemed strange from the clothing to the furniture.
"Well, I need to go to work and you'll have to Stay here alone, do you have any problems with that?"- Melissa asked and the said no with their heads "well in order to you to have something to do all day, here in the 21st century we have something called television. It's a device where we can watch, people doing things. Like what people did in front of you? It's pretty much that, but it's not in front of you and it's not live, it was recorded before. You can watch news as well, which is where we find out things about the world, the country and stuff like that."
" That sounds lovely"- Mary said, excited. Melissa showed a small smile, she liked how the Queen of Scotland was excited to find out more about the current century. She grabbed the remote and pointed it at the couple.
"What type of weapon is that?"- Francis asked, alarmed. Melissa almost started to laugh loudly, but she controlled herself when she imagined that the dauphin of France could be uncomfortable with it.
"Calm down, it's not a weapon! It's called a remote, it's used to turn on the TV" - Melissa explained, clicking in turn on button. - "this red button turns on the TV, this one control the volume and these the channels."
"Oh my god, it's magic! "- Mary said, amazed by what she saw. Francis watched her happy, he was happy to see his fiancée excited for something.
"Do you want to try?" - Melissa asked Mary.
"I'd love to! "- Melissa Gave the remote to her "Can I?" - Mary asked
"Yes! Of course!"
As Mary basically played with the many remote functions, Francis watched her, delighted. He would love to say to her how beautiful she looked when she was excited with something. But he knew that if he did that, there was a huge chance that she would kill him.
"Well, your majesties... I must go to work now. Please, do not leave the house and be careful. Have a good day, I'll be back later. There's food prepared in the kitchen."- Mary didn't even heard Melissa, all of her attention was in the thing called remote.
Francis stood up and, before Melissa left, he gave a gentle kiss on her hand in a way to show courtesy and gratitude.
"Thank you once again, sweet Melissa" - Francis thanked. Melissa smiled, and left the house, hoping that when she got back she still had a place to sleep and live on.
