KYOTO, JAPAN

The streets were empty.

NEW YORK CITY

Times Square was bare, not a soul in sight.

PLAYGROUND

A playground carousel spun.

STREET - HASTINGS, MINNESOTA

On a sidewalk was a table for Girl Scout cookies.

Sam, Jack, Azrael and Dylan looked around. Dylan and Sam both held a twin.

A car alarm sounded.

The Impala pulled to a stop and Dean and Natalia exited.

"Everyone's gone," Sam said. "You two see anybody on the way here?"

Dean and Natalia shook their heads. "No."

Joanna held her hands out to her mother and Natalia took her daughter, relieved that even if Castiel was gone, her family, her children, were still there.

Joanna touched the handprint surrounding her mother's waist and rested her head on Natalia's shoulder.

"Dyl and I couldn't save anybody," Sam admitted. "We couldn't save anybody. Billie."

"It wasn't Billie. It was Chuck," Dean told them.

"What?"

"Where's Cas?" Jack and Dylan asked.

Azrael's expression fell. "He's gone, isn't he?"

Dean and Natalia glanced down and Sam and Dylan called, "Dean? Natalia?"

The elder Winchester was silent for a moment. "He saved me and Natalia. Billie was coming after us, and Cas summoned the Empty. It took her. And it took him. Cas is gone."

The group remained silent for a moment. Jack fought tears.

Azrael lowered her head. She wasn't normally wrathful, but after all that her father done, to say that she wanted revenge was an understatement. And when the Archangel of Death got angry, one should be wary.

After a moment, Sam and Dylan said, "This can't be happening."

"It is, Sam, Dylan," Dean told them. "I think everyone's gone."

Sam turned away from them and walked a short distance away as he pulled out his cellphone which beeped. The phone rang.

"Hey, it's Jody. I can't get to the phone right now, so leave a message."

Sam hung up.

Dean stepped closer to the Nephilim. "Jack, I'm sorry." He walked away.

Natalia glanced up at Jack and her lip quivered. Jack took Joanna from Natalia, seeing the little girl's outstretched arms. She walked away, not wanting her family to see her break down.

Sam's phone beeped again and it rang. Dean, Jack, Natalia, Azrael and Dylan moved closer to Sam.

"Hey. You know who it is. You know what to do. Catch you later."

The cellphone beeped once again.

The six walked down the empty street. Dylan was still holding Henry and Jack was holding Joanna who reached for Sam.

Sam took his niece who wrapped her arms around his neck.

They, excluding Jack and Azrael, walked into a barren restaurant playing country music. A beer tap was running.
