I looked out the window and I saw the sky crying. Rain is just beautiful. Cry everything out, get a gorgeous rainbow symbolizing a restart. I sighed.
'If only I could restart," I thought seeing the rain starting to slow down. I felt someone tap my shoulder bringing me out of my thoughts.
"Excuse me, Mr. Midoriya," the voice came from the glaring teacher. "What is so important that you have ignored me calling your name about 15 times in the past 2 minutes?"
"I'm sorry ma'am," I looked down at my desk, twirling my fingers. I could faintly hear the students laugh at me but all I could focus on was the loud thumping heart in chest. I just want to go home. School used to be fun but it's gotten so bad the past few years. Especially after I was name quirkless.
"Now that I have your attention, answer the question on the board!" The annoyed teacher said before walking back up to the board. I looked up and saw the equation.
"17x ma'am," I said quietly.
"What was that, Deku?!" I heard an amused voice coming from one of the front desk. I saw the blond boy smirking and laughing at me with his friends.
"The a-answer is 17x m-ma'am," I said a little louder. I heard louder snickering from the front desks.
"T-the a-answer is 17x m-ma'am," I heard faintly from Kacchan.
"Thank you Midoriya, now we will continue," the teacher looked at me before erasing the equation.
I sighed listening my heartbeat slow down. I laid my cheek in my palm looking at nothing.
After about 20 more minutes, I heard the bell ring and everyone was getting up. I sat back and waited for everyone to leave like my normal routine. As the last person left, I grabbed my backpack and put my books inside. I felt a hand on my shoulder before the owner spoke.
"Are you doing ok Midoriya? I have noticed you are being more distant in class," the female teacher said softly. "I didn't mean to embarrass you, I just need you to take your studies more seriously. You are smart and can get a well paying job if you just put more work in."
"Thank you ma'am. I'm doing great! I just haven't been sleeping well, I'll try to get some more sleep," I said while putting a fake smile on. I knew when she said "well paying" she meant like an engineer or something.
"I really hope you do, you are just such a bright student." She ruffled my hair before I walked out of the class. I walked out of the school with my normal sad depressing music blasting in my ears. I looked the sidewalk on the way home, memorizing every crack and mark.
Suddenly my music stopped and heard laughing behind me. I turned and saw Kacchan and his three goonies who follow him everywhere.
"Give me my earbuds back, Kacchan!" I yelled feeling the tears build up. After 14 years of this, you would've thought that I'd be used to him. "It isn't funny!"
"GiVe me My eArBudS!" Kacchan mimicked me. "Look guys, the gay nerd is crying!"
"I a-am no-not!" I stuttered as he walked closer. I backed up putting my hands to cover my face.
