Chapter 7: The Pub

After that day, the day I was sick, I made sure to not come into interaction with Hidan. The feelings that were conjuring up in me were not for the best so I tried ignoring him. Of course it was hard since we both lived in the same room but I tried my best. I could see that Hidan was getting irritated with my actions and behaviours lately.

Hidan's Perspective

Lately Y/N has been ignoring me. I don't know why. When she ignores me I get annoyed and frustrated. Why should I care if she talks to me or not? I never cared for anyone. I feel like all my anger with these mixed feelings were rising and could burst at any minute. When it does even I am not sure what I will do? I think I should perform a ritual soon. Maybe that will help me bring back my focus.

Back to Your Perspective

It seemed like my efforts were in vain when Pain asked us to go on a mission. There was no way I wouldn't interact with him on the mission. It was impossible to ignore him now.

"Hey B..tch. Is something wrong with you lately?" Hidan asked me while we walked to the destination of our mission.

"Nothing..." I tried to have minimal conversation with him. He was getting annoyed with my answers.

"B..tch. Why are you so quiet?"

"Why do you care?" I replied in monotone.

"Why won't you just say the truth?!"

"Why do I have to say how I feel to you? Who are you to me?"

"Hah. True. Who am I to you?"He said to himself. His expression seemed dull and gloomy. I was a little confused with his response. Usually he would outbreak into a tantrum and start shouting. What was going on with him?

Our mission was to get some information about Matatabi, the two tailed beast. We had to go into this bar and get some information from a source. I didn't know why two people are needed but anyways it was nice to get out every once in a while.

Throughout the whole journey we were quiet. It was awkward, well at least for me. We finally got to our destination. I thought it would have been better if we went in disguise since we are getting more and more famous but Pain said no. I didn't really ask why.

We entered. There was a sudden burst of the smell of alcohol. It rank of filthy men. I wore my hood and walked in. Pain had given the details of the mission to Hidan.

"I will be back, wait here." he said. I nodded my head in approval and I saw Hidan disappear off. I sat on a high chair seat and asked the bartender for some soda. I don't drink since it will only interfere in my work.

"Here you go." I sat quietly and stared into the distance. I thought of Hidan. I thought about what he said to me. "Hah. True. Who am I to you?" Why was his reaction so weird? What has gotten into him? I wouldn't think he cared for a person like me, or rather know how to worry or care. Wait was he worried about me? Just as I was thinking this young drunk man fell on my back. Of course, I didn't budge an inch. I turned around.

"Watch where you are falling?" I scorned.

"HUUuuh!!! Who are you to twell me twhat...." He had Y/C hair and Y/C eyes like me. He was probably around the same age as me. I didn't want to cause trouble for myself so I just turned around and kept quiet. "Huh! Who are you ignoring?" The man ripped off my hood and I turned around in rage. The man's face was stunned for a moment. "Y/N..." he whispered. Wait how did he know my name?

"Who are you?" I stood up. The man suddenly fell on me hand either side of me on the table and his mouth was near my ear. I was startled for a second. He then whispered in my ear, "I finally found you. Do you want to find out more about how they were killed?" My eyes expanded, was he talking about my village?

"Who are you? How do you know me? How do you know what I want?"

Hidan's Perspective

I finished up getting the information I wanted. He had a lot to offer.

As I walked back to where Y/N was I saw a man on her. She wasn't doing anything. I could see the man's mouth was near her ear. For some reason anger started to boil in me. I was a furious and I was clenching my hand so hard that I was getting bruised but I couldn't feel the pain.

Y/N Perspective

"Who are you? How do you know me? How do you know what I want?"

Before he could answer a punch came flying from nowhere. It was going to hit him but I was to startled to react fast. I thought I was too late but the punch stopped just at it was coming to the man.

"Dammit!" I turned to see that it was Hidan who was coming in for the punch. "Why can't I get any closer." Hidan shouted.

"I think now is not a good time." The man said. He approached closer to me and I felt something cool on my cheek. He had kissed it. "Bye".

"You are not leaving that easily!" Hidan shouted. Hidan went in for another punch but again it stopped just before it reached him. Did he have the same Kekkai Genkai as me? The man just smiled back to me and swiftly left the bar. I ran out to chase him.

"Hey don't leave! Who are you!!!!!" I screamed but he was already gone. How did he know me? Does he know who murdered my entire village? How does he know that? Those Y/C eyes, I have seen them somewhere before. Everyone in our village has distinct Y/C eyes. It couldn't be. Is he a survivor from our village? My thoughts were in a flurry. Then my wrist was suddenly pulled away firmly. I turned to see Hidan.

"Who was that?!" He shouted.

"Hidan don't shout. He is someone I know," I lied.

"Someone you know? What did he say to you?"

"Why should I tell you that and why were you going to punch him?" His grip around my wrist became tighter. "Hey Hida..."

"Why did he kiss you on the cheek?"

Oh! I placed my other hand on the place he kissed. Why did he do that? I blushed a little at the realisation. Hidan's grip became tighter when he saw my reaction.

"How do you know him? Is he an ex-lover or something?"

What the hell was he on about. "Look I don't need to tell you." His grip was surely breaking my bones. "Ouch!! Hidan let go of me!!" Realising what he was doing he let go. My wrist was red. "What is wrong with you Hidan!"

There was a moment of silence. Hidan grew gloomy. His face was dark. He just turned around and started walking away.

"Hey Hidan! Where are you going?" I called out to him.

"Don't follow me. Tell Pain that I know where Matatabi is. I will come back to the base tomorrow." He left with those words.
