Another hard day. Filled with constant staring and questions not related to today's lesson. Either these students learn fast or they're way too fascinated with me being a foreigner to concentrate. I feel bad for Principal Sun, constantly having to check up on me and help me control my class. At first I was able to but their curiosity is really getting out of hand.

Goes to show you it doesn't matter where you're from, teenagers will be teenagers. I remember in high school in fourth year when this hunky Australian teacher taught English. Of course all the girls flocked to him and surprisingly the guys too. Although, they were able to during lunch only he said. He'd rather be a mystery to us then a chattering roo not educating us.

I massage my temples as I rest my arm on my desk. That's where I went wrong. Trying to please my class' interests instead of helping expand their brains.

An aroma of pizza wafted against my nose. I look up to see Julie, one of a few classmates that actually listen to me. "Hello Julie."

"Hello Miss Davis. Would you like to share my pizza?"

I smile and shake my head politely. "I'd love to but I'm on a diet."

"Die - it?" Julie asked confused.

"I mean eating healthy." I gestured with my hand towards the fruit and veggies on my plastic plate.

Julie's eyes showed recognition as to what I said and nodded her head. "Could I eat here with you?"

"Of course you can Julie."

"Thank you." She replied going to her desk.

"Julie." I called.

"Yes Miss Davis?"

I gestured my head towards my desk to come sit and eat with me, literally. A smile graced her round face as she stood up from her desk and sat with me at mine.

Giggles filled the almost vacant classroom. Me and Julie, oops, Julie and I, were discussing life lessons that somehow ended up being hysterical. Both our faces went rouge from the lack of oxygen, tears falling out of our eyes in huge droplets and our fingers digging tightly into our stomachs.

"Whew." I said when we both finally began to calm down. "That was nice."

"I agree." Julie replied, her cheeks still stained red from laughter.

"I want to thank you Julie very much."

"For what Miss Davis?"

"Lightening up my day."

"I'm making your day shocking?" Her eyebrows rose up.

I chuckled. "I mean, making my day a whole lot better."

"Ohhhh. Well, thank you for making my day shocking too."

We both chuckled for a moment then heard the warning bell.

"Well, it was nice talking to you Julie."

"Me too." She replied and surprisingly she gave me a real big hug. I smiled and patted her back till she released me from her grasp. "Please let's do this again."

I nod with a smile and watch her move the chair back to someone's desk before I heard young adolescent voices swarming closer to my classroom.

"Okay class, every year I heard you guys put on some sort of play to see how well you've excelled in this class. And I've decided that romance is going to be a key element to it. But you guys write the script, however, me and two other teachers will be the judges that determine who's the leading man and lady. If you need help, come to me. You guys have twenty minutes till class is over to come up with an idea. If you don't succeed, you have a week."
