After everybody went to sleep, Merlin went to the platform and climbed it. He then sighed and stared forward. He doesn't want to lose somebody anymore. His eyes were filled with tears. But be didn't allow them to drop. He then heard something and turned around to see Arthur standing next to him.
"Can't sleep?" Arthur asked. Merlin shook his head.
"I should have protected Alatan. He knew who the traitor was, and now he's dead."
"Merlin."
"I just, can't bear to lose somebody else. Can't bear to lose you."
"Merlin."
"Everybody will die, for me, for the future they believe in."
"Merlin!"
"I can't and I won't lose anybody else."
"MERLIN!"
"I won't be a good k-" Merlin was cut off when Arthur suddenly kissed him. Merlin was surprised, but then he kissed back. Tears were finally streaming down his cheeks, but he let them. Finally Arthur kissed him, finally, after so many years of secret love.
