(A/N) Here's the prompt: A group of friends, tempted by tales of wealth beyond their wildest beliefs, in the long-since abandoned "Midas" Castle hidden deep within the mountain range. But, the spirits that call the castle home have another plan - the group may enter, but only one may leave; left to deal with the madness of greed.
---------------------------------------
Greed is a powerful thing, it can drive people insane. Everybody wants something and quite often when people get it they want more. They steal it from others and take more than needed, drowning themselves in greed.
Wealth is one of the things people get most greedy about and as legend says; whoever enters the castle of Midas shall become the wealthiest person alive.

"C'mon Dex! Don't you wanna be rich!" Jake grumbled, slapping his mate on the shoulder. "It's dangerous, you've heard the stories!" Dexter protested. "Their just silly old tales, nothing more!" Lucas scolded.
"Shutup all of you! You're giving me a headache!" Aurora grumbled. "It's going to be dark soon, if we're doing this we need to leave now!" Ruby urged. "This is a horrible idea!" Dexter muttered.
The group of friends left the room to go get their packs for the trip. For months they had been planning to travel through the mountains to the castle of Midas. They were all fine money-wise, some more than others, but the group of friends couldn't let their chances of becoming rich slip.
Once everybody had got there packs they met outside their homely cabin that sat just below the mountains.
"Everybody ready?" Lucas asked. "Something's going to go wrong! I'm telling you now!" Dexter warned. "Shut up Dex! You're so damn annoying!" Jake snapped. Dexter rolled his eyes and the group began their journey through the mountains, unaware about the losses that were to come.
---------------------------------
The group of friends had been travelling through the mountains for two days before they came across an old broken down castle. The castle walls were covered in ivy with piles of brick and rubble at their base. The sky was dark and stormy, grey clouds loomed over the castle giving it a dark aura.
"WE MADE IT!" Jake screamed as the group stood upon a hill that overlooked the castle. "Finally, my feet hurt!" Aurora complained.
"What are we waiting for?" Ruby urged, "Let's go!"
The group began running down the hill until they made it to the rusty old gate by the castle entrance. "If something in there is said to make us wealthy, it's probably money right?" Lucas questioned, "Or gold!" he added.
"Probably!" Aurora agreed. "We should empty our packs then, so we can take as much as possible!" Ruby suggested.
The group began emptying their packs onto the muddy ground, not really bothered by the fact that their food was being dirtied in the process. "Everybody ready?" Lucas asked. Everyone nodded their heads in response.
The group grabbed their empty packs and climbed through the hole in the gate one by one. Just behind the gate were two massive wooden doors which the group assumed were the castle doors.
Jake knocked on the door before jokingly asking if anyone was home causing his friends to laugh, except for Dexter.
"Something feels off..." Dexter fretted.
"Look Dex, you've been complaining this whole time if I knew you were such a pussy I wouldn't have invited you!" The group fell silent at Jakes hurtful words and Dexter felt as if someone had driven a stake threw his heart.
