Gabi na ng makarating ako sa location kung nasaan yung pinapagawang bahay ni Auntie.

The house is huge but enough for their family. Good thing, may ilaw sa loob kaya hindi ako nahirapan sa pagpasok. I checked the house if they're doing good, well ayos naman sa tingin ko.

Wala na rin namang naggagawa dito, dahil alas-dyis na ng gabi, ang sama lang kasi ang layo ng parking area hindi pa kasi maganda yung daan.

I was supposed to go outside when I heard the heavy rain.

"Badtrip ugh" I don't even bring my umbrella cause I thought there has no chance of rain tonight.

Inis akong tumaas at nilibot yung paningin ko kung saan pwede manlang akong umupo. I went inside the white door, whoa! May lamesa at mga upuan siguro dito nagmmeeting yung mga tao or kumakain? Well, I don't care. I just want to rest for a while.

Hinubad ko muna yung coat na suot ko para hindi sobrang init, pero napatigil ako ng marinig ko yung pagbukas ng pinto.

"Shit!" I cursed.

"Who's there?"

I stopped, the time stopped. Hindi ako pwedeng magkamali, it's him.

He turned on the lights and he finally saw me. "Shakiara"

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Well, I'm the engineer of this house" he said.

He's the engineer? What the hell? Why Auntie not even tell me?

I cleared my throat. "Oh, ok"

"Your Auntie o-"

"I know, you don't have to tell me" I said and turn my back. "I'm just waiting the rain to stop" I continued.

"It won't stop, the reporter said" he said and take a seat beside me. "You can sleep here, I won't disturb you"

"No, I have to go" I said and went outside.

Medyo humina na yung ulan kaya may chance na ako para makapunta sa sasakyan ko. Naglalakad pa lang ako ng biglang bumuhos nanaman yung malakas na ulan at may kidlat pa. Oh God.

Basang-basa ako ng makabalik ako sa loob, Spade panicked when he saw me. "Shit, Shakiara I've already told you" he lectured.

Sa sobrang ginaw na ng katawan ko hindi ko na alam kung paano nya pa ako nadala sa itaas at pinasok sa kwarto kung nasaan kami kanina.

"Shakiara, I have to do this" he said, I just nodded. He removed my coat and top of my uniform. I'm just now wearing a black sando, but it's not enough cause I still felt the coldness. "Uh... Y-your pants" his lios stuttering, I nodded again.

He removed my pants, mabuti na lang nakasuot ako ng cycling. He get his towel from his bag and dry my hair. He wiped the water from my face down to my shoulder. Pero hindi parin sapat yon, dahil nanginginig pa din akl sa lamig.

He laid me on the table and put his bag under my head to become my temporarily pillow. He's seating beside me when he hugged me. I was shocked because all of a sudden he hugged me, a tight hug.

"I have to do this so you could feel better" he said. I hugged him back.

We stayed in that position almost half of hour. He's right, I feel better now. He laid me again and I tried to sleep but I can't. He went outside, para daw mas makapagpahinga ako. Pero nagulat ako ng mas kumidlat ng malakas at kasabay non yung pagpatay ng ilaw.

"Spade!" I shouted. I'm afraid of darkness.

"You don't have to shout, I'm already here" he whispered to my ears. How could he entered the room ng hindi ko naririnig?

He intertwined our fingers and he laid beside me. Kasya naman pala kami sa lamesa bakit lumabas pa sya? I mean ugh, ano bang sinasabi ko?

I was sleeping when the lights finally come. I looked at Spade, hindi nya ata napansin na may kuryente na. Nakapikit parin sya at nakaharap sakin, he is peacefully sleeping with me.

"Shakiara" he called my name while still sleeping. Nananaginip ba sya? I tried to let go of his hand pero ang higpit ng kapit nya, baka nga hindi na dumaloy yung dugo ko doon. "Don't leave me again" he said and opened his eyes. "Nanaginip ako na bumalik ka daw, akala ko hindi totoo. Pero totoo pala, nagising ako na ikaw yung una kong nakita" he continued.

Umupo ako dahil hindi ko matagalan yung mga tingin nya sakin. Akala ko tatanggalin nya na yung kamay nya sa pagkakahawak sakin pero niyakap nya ako mula sa likuran ko.

"Please love, I love you. I still love you" he said. Naramdaman ko yung basa sa braso ko. Damn, he's crying. "I'm sorry for not following you on that night" he continued.

I remained silent. I don't know what to do, should I speak?

"I thought if we gave space between us, mas mapapaayos yung buhay nating dalawa. Sobrang gulo ng buhay ko noon, Niana told me she's pregnant" he said between his hug. "I'm sure hindi sakin yon, kasi matagal ng walang nangyayari samin. Pina-DNA ko si Nia and the DNA test results is negative."

"I tried to find you so many times, pero hindi umaayon sakin yung tadhana. Pero dumating din yung araw na iniintay ko. I saw you on the café where my sister owned. You're so happy that night, you're smiling so bright with Andrei."

Napatigil ako, that night? I was happy that night because the love of Andrei's life is finally said 'yes' to him. Pero hindi ko alam na andoon si Spade.

"Sabi ko, baka masaya ka na naman talaga. Baka ok na sayo yung hindi ako yung kasama mo" he continued and slowly removed his hug but I hold it.

"I'm not ok, it's not ok living without you" I said and my tears came fall. "But I won't deny that I tried to move on, I tried to forget you, I tried to focus on something, but I never tried to love again with another man. Because in the first place, I know you're still the one."
