"So you two made up?" Colby asked over facetime. He wanted to make sure everything was okay.
I nodded my head as I sketched something on my notepad. "Everything's good so far." I smile as he did the same.
We talked for a couple of hours. But the next couple of days were a blur. I was either with Colby, the girls, or I was at work.
And then it was Saturday. I was getting ready for the group hangout. I was straightening my hair when I heard a knock on my door.
"Come in!" The door opened revealing Colby. He looked at me up and down. "Hey. You look pretty." I look at my outfit.
I had short shorts on, a black crop top, and a flannel over it. I smiled but looked away so he wouldn't see me blush.
"Thanks, Colbs." He started looking around my room as I straighten my hair. More like looking at my artwork.
I could tell he was studying each one. "You're really talented." Here comes the heat back on my face.
"I'm decent." I shrug towards him. I turn my straightener off as I unplug it. I turned to him so I could see Colby better.
"You're more than decent." He complimented me. Before I could respond, we heard Kevin yell for us to hurry up.
We both laughed a little as we walk downstairs. They were all in the kitchen waiting on us. Sam and Ivy were laughing about something.
"Finally, we're trying to hang out you know?" Kevin sarcastically asked. Colby flipped him off as we laughed.
We all piled up in two cars. Blair drove as Ivy and Sam rode with her. That left Colby, Kevin, and Casey in my car.
Casey and Kevin looked super cute together. Colby sat next to me as the other two sat in the back.
I handed him my phone as he curiously looked at me. "There's no pass code. You can play music while we drive." I tell him.
He scrolled for a good minute. I glanced over to see him smiling a little bit. "What did you find?" I ask looking back at the road.
"Yeah, you have the same music taste as I do." I smiled a little bit too. He started playing a song as the two in the back flirted.
Kevin was trying to take her phone as Casey swatted him away. "You two okay back there?" I ask while looking at him through the rear view mirror.
"He's trying to steal my phone to look at an old picture of me." Casey told us.
"You said you looked bad and I wanted to see it for myself." Kevin explained to us. Colby and I gave each other the same look.
Like we were thinking of the same thing. I laughed a little as he did the same. After driving for a little bit, we finally got to the trampoline park.
We all paid and signed some stuff. Once done, we took our shoes off and started bouncing. There was barley anyone here, surprisingly.
I could tell everyone was having a good time. "Can anyone do any tricks?" Kevin asked to no one in particular.
My eyes went straight to Blair. "Blair can." I wasn't trying to be rude, I just know she's super good at it.
I could see Blair's face redden. Everyone was staring at her. "I think I can work something up for you guys." She smiled.
It was a real smile too. She got on her own little square, jumped, and started doing spins. Us girls smiled while the boys looked in shock.
"How did you do that?" Sam asked in shock. "I did cheer for most of my life." She smiled towards him.
"You wanna play dodge ball?" Colby asked whispering in my ear. It sent shivers down my spine. I nodded my head yes in agreement.
We snuck away from our friends to play dodge ball. "So are we on teams or what?" I ask as we wait for the first game to end.
He looked at me like I was crazy. "I'm competitive so we're on different teams." He slung his arm around me.
I blushed a little but I made sure to hide it from him. We watched them play and finish the game.
We get on either side of it as they put the balls back down. We stared each other down as we crack our knuckles.
We didn't even say anything, we knew we were gonna target each other. "Everyone ready?" The employee asked.
Everyone nodded their heads. He counted to three as we ran towards the balls. I grabbed the last one as he got scared.
"Cole Robert Brock, get your ass over here." I laugh as he runs away from me. A few balls fly past me but I quickly miss them.
Another ball comes towards me but I catch it. Colby looked at me with fear in his eyes. I threw the ball right as he tried to move.
The ball made contact with his ear, causing him to fall over. I run to him laughing as he held his face.
"Are you okay?" I ask bending over him. He moved his hand, and the whole side if his face was red.
"I think so." He smiled. Someone then threw a ball at my back, causing me to fall over. We both started laughing as we laid on the ground.
"You two okay over here?" The employee asked walking over to us. We nodded our heads as we stood up.
We walked out of the dodge ball area to see Blair and Casey trying to teach Kevin how to do tricks.
Sam and Ivy were doing the basketball. We decided to go over to Sam and Ivy. Right as we walked over to them, Sam missed.
"Good shot, Sam." I joke as they turn over to us. Sam and Colby started doing tricks as Ivy walked over to me.
"It looks like everyone's having a good time." She spoke up. I look at everyone to see them laughing at something.
Even Blair was laughing. It made me feel good inside.
I'm so happy everyone's getting along.
