This story is called the misinterpreted message and it happened with me and Sulaiman, a USA friend of mine in semester 1. The story begins like this, today I almost got mad at my friend due to misinterpreted what he said. First, I ask him some questions and he answered. When he answered, it was something I didn’t like so I got sad and mad.
I said why are you downgrading me? He said no and explained clearly. At that time I realized that I was at fault because I misinterpreted the message.
The conclusion is that we can get from this story that sometimes in friendship there are fights that are caused by misinterpretation due to WhatsApp messages. It is our duty to know our friend, ask him back what he meant, what is his tone to evade the misunderstanding in the future. Anyway communication is the key but the tone must be understood by us.
