Jake and I had just finished a breakfast of granola bars when I saw Edward tense up. A few seconds later, I heard feet running towards us. "It's her." Jake said. I knew it. I quickly set up my phone to play a heartbeat and threw it in the tent. Not a moment later, two red eyed Cold Ones came into our campsite. The red-headed woman was wild eyed while the dirty blond man beside her seemed less frenzied.

"I recognize you. Riley, right? Before you left for Seattle you ordered the same pizza every Friday." I spoke up, trying to distract him. "Riley. She's just using you. She wants revenge for Edward killing her mate." Riley looked conflictedly to Victoria.

"They're lying. I told you about their mind games. I only love you." She lied. He's too ensnared to listen to reason.

"Riley, listen to me. If you attack with her, we'll have no choice but to kill you, as well. You were a sweet guy. Don't make me kill you." I tried one last time to reason with him. Riley's eyes hardened as he glared at me. So be it. As soon as Riley jumped towards the tent behind me, I shifted and braced myself for the impact; Jake shifted seconds after me and leapt at Riley, who was desperately trying to push through me to the tent. At least Bella isn't here. As soon as Jake had Riley off me, I pounced on the Cold One's back and pushed him into the snow. I pushed him down flat with a paw and bit off one of his arms. Jake bit into his ankle, and I released Riley to let Jake drag him off.

"Victoria!" Riley called out in fear. I saw her begin to turn and shifted back.

"You'll never get another chance like this!" I warned her.

"You'll never have another chance like this to hurt me for killing James, again, Victoria. Never repay me that pain for ripping him apart and burning him to ash." Edward continue, following my train of thought. In the second it took for her to become enraged and bare her teeth at Edward, I was back in my fox form andr running at her. Duck! Just as she missed her leap at Edward, I connected my teeth with her hip and dragged her down with me as gravity did its job. We grappled on the ground, each trying to bite the other. I growled as her teeth broke through the scruff of my neck. Now, Edward! Rip her head off. As soon as Victoria's jaw slacked, I pushed her body off of me and tore it apart. Get Jake to bring Riley back so we can burn then and be done with it. I shook out my fur as I waited, trying to cover up the bite mark with my red fur. It took a minute or two, but Edward and Jake came back with the pieces of Riley, threw them in with Victoria's body, and lit them aflame. "We should get to the clearing now. Jake is saying they're almost done." Grab Emmett's shirt for me, please. I'll change back when we get there.

I shifted back into my human form and pulled Emmett's shirt over my head just st the edge of the clearing, going to join the others in the middle. "Who's this?" I asked, motioning to the young girl who stirred behind Carlisle and Esme. She can't be more than thirteen.

"We couldn't kill her. She's just a child." Esme spoke up.

"I understand, Esme. Can you tell me your name, honey, so I know what to call you?"

"I'm - I'm Bree."

"Well, Bree, you're safe now. Riley and Victoria are gone. They can't hurt you or anyone else ever again." I assured her.

"They're coming." At the same time as Alice spoke, Leah went after a newborn that had apparently been in hiding.

"Leah, don't!" Sam shouted. I ran after Jake, having a bad feeling about this Cold One. Shit. The newborn wrapped its arms Jake's middle, getting a chance to crush him before I got to them and kicked it away.

"You smell delicious." The Cold One spoke to me.

"You're dead." The moment I spoke,  Jared and Paul attacked, ripping it apart and tossing the pieces into the bonfire. "Derek, take the pack back to Emily's. Help the La Push pack take care of Jacob. Jo, go with them."
