Chapter 9: Annie Leonhart

The military police passes by everyone salute, once they leave the others follow "Annie" Armin calls out. Annie stops and waits for everyone to leave then turns back "hi" Armin says with me behind him

" looks like you're a full-fledged military police now" Armin told her, Annie's eyes widen "Armin, Y/N" I smirk at her 'we meet again' "why are you wearing that?" Annie asks "we're cargo carriers" I tell her " what is this about" she ask

"Annie, could you help us let Eren escape" Armin told her, "Escape to where?" "We just need to hide him for a while" I tell her and smirk "sorry, but I can't accept, I won't tell anyone though, good luck" Annie replies, 'yes' I smile "Annie, please, their going to kill Eren!" Armin says. My eyes widen in shock 'not going down with a no I see'

Annie puts down her gun and puts on her ring 'Sly bastard' I smile a bit "okay, I'll go" we leave. I see Eren and Mikasa near by as we walk towards them "we got through surprisingly easy. That's the mighty military police regiment for you" Eren jokes. We get to a underground tunnel. And we stop by the stairs

"here?" Annie asks "yes, we're going through here. It's what's left of an underground city they were planning to make" Armin says.

We go down but I quickly put my hand of her stomach and shake my head. She nods and doesn't follow. I get down with the others

"oh man, don't tell me you're afraid of dark, cramped places or something" Eren whines, I glare at him.

"Yes I am, I doubt a brave, suicidal maniac like you would understand how a delicate damsel feels" Annie says "cut the crap, let's go" Eren tells her as we go further "no, I'm not going" she says.

Eren and Armin look at her with wide eyes. "Quit being stupid! Just get done here!" Eren yells "Eren, don't shout" Mikasa tells him "no, it's ok Mikasa, because for some reason, this whole area has been completely deserted for a while." Annie says. "Man that really hurts" Annie mumbles

"Annie." I call for her 'what is she planning' "Annie, why did you have Marcos omnidirectional mobility gear? It had all the same scrapes and bumps. I could tell because I had helped him do maintenance on it." Armin says "yes, I found it and took it" Annie confesses.

" then those Titans we captured alive, was it you who killed them?" Armin asks. "Who knows. Armin, I can't go there. I'm a failed warrior, unlike Y/-" "Annie!" I shout, she looks at me wide eye "for now, you've won your bet, but my bet begins now." Annie says about to cut her finger, when Eren shoots a smoke signal.

Many people come rushing towards her tying something around her mouth "Annie, Hurry!" I shout at her, not caring if Mikasa and the others heard or not. She nods and pulls out the sharp knife and cuts her finger. Mikasa noticed and dragged the 3 of them in the tunnel.

Flashback

I grab a horse and make my way to the old scout Regiment Headquarters. It was nighttime. I see other horses there. I fall on the ground 'I shouldn't have hit my leg too hard' I thought and limp to the door.

I search around and see light near the dining hall. I limped over there and open the door. I see everyone well, Some of my friends. They all stare at me wide eye especially Eren. "Sorry I'm late" I tell them and pant. "Y/N" Eren runs to me. I fall limp in his hands.
