"That house looks deserted,  we should check it out ", Israel said to the team of friends.  They murmured and then replied in fear, "okay,  if it's fine by you.  Then we can go". "It looks like there was once a fight here sometime ago? " , Kasey said as she slowly rubbed her hands on the walls of this building." The windows are broken and Oh My goodness "she added pointing to the blood on the wall. " Yeah,  there was a fight  here some years back.  The husband shot his wife and mother. What a bad experience " Israel said to her.  " okay guys I'm getting scared,  can we not go in? " Jessy said. "come on,  don't be a sissie,  let's go in,  no monsters " Israel assured the team. After taking five steps into the house,  the team came out because of the darkness. "Team,  let's go get our lights", Israel said again.  No one wanted to be called a Sissie and so they moved to get them. They all returned to the spot and met the group leader present. He went in first,  then Kasey,  and then continuously leaving Israel behind the rest. They saw more broken implements and blood. " Why didn't the government do anything about this? ", she asked trying to be concerned. " come on Kasey,  this is Nigeria,  no one cares.  Let's go "Israel said,  and giggled. They saw a large room with a big rock. They cleared it up,  and observed everything.  They soon started playing on it. After some minutes they came out. " wow,  that was a hell of fun in there " David said for the first time. Some children from the neighbouring houses shouted with joy, "NEPA", that meant the power holding company had just returned power. Everyone went home.
         Kasey and her new friends had alot of fun.  They played pretend fights as warriors,  super heroes, gods, sorcerers, and even musicians.  They made up their own pretend movie and also musical shows in their houses. Kasey had now turned ten on the 15th of August and a big party was thrown for her. Israel bought a locket in form a love with his face in it.  " Doesn't that matter to you?",  David said to his sister. She just let it slide off her back. Her parents weren't concerned about her friends though.
        A fateful day,  when Kasey and friends went out to play soccer at a field in the town with some other kids, a boy kicked the ball into an old grandma's home.  That spelt trouble for them  because, that woman didn't like kids. They went on begging the old lady but no,she wouldn't listen. They needed an adult, but it was also trouble, the following questions will be asked, " why did you go there. You were warned, weren't you??" , and so on. The owner of the soccer ball demanded that she be paid for it was them who had fault and not her. Kasey had just enough to pay for herself and half for her brother. The girl agreed that it would do. Kasey became a slave to this girl. She had to come out early with the others who had joined in playing this game to get the money. Kasey was to keep the money for them and also to keep on following them like a sheep. She got tired of holding the money and so complained. "I'm not holding this anymore", " oh, let me see you walk out now Kasey ". As Kasey was walking out,she received a hot slap from this bully. She sat down to cry at Israel's gate. There was a great fuss as the girl insulted Israel's grandpa and left. Kasey was consoled and urged not to go into such plays again. She left and never tried such again.
