I wont ever forget that night. That one stormy, horrible, cold night when my mom had came home with someone else that looks as young as I was.

"Mom, who's that?" I asked. My eyes grow big with curiosity and mouth gaping like a fish.

"Sweetie, it's a girl. She was outside in the rain and so I brought her here" Slowly she smiled and bent down, whispering something in the girl's ear. The girl didnt move nor look up, she just stood there letting my mom hold her hand as its over her head.

After my mom had let her in and cleaned her up, she now sat on the dining table with food infront of her, but she didn't seem to be touching any of it. I went over to her innocently and beamed.

"Uuhhhm hello!" I rollicked. She didnt move nor say a word.

She's like a doll.

I just gaze at her like she's a decoration. She was too quiet, too subtle, too still, too void. Almost as if something had taken her soul away from her. But I never understood what the word soul, void, subtle or still mean. I was too young to know what reality is.

"Arent you gonna eat? If you want I can eat with you! I'm hungry!" I cheered and grinned at her with light. But she still didnt reply or didnt even dare to look at me.

Does she move at all?

I just look at her and waited. Waited for a response, an action, an expression, but nothing. My hopes fell to zero for getting along with her and having my first friend in this neighbourhood as she didnt appear to like me.

I perked as soon as she faced me and gave me a what seemingly looks like a smile.

"Sorry" She said.

"You can have this if you want"

And that last sentence, could actually explain how her life was miserable.
