you hid your face in your knees, hands covering the tears streaming down your face. it was hard to distinguish the tears from the heavy rain pouring down on your figure.
you quivered under the frozen drops.
to say today was a bad day would be an understatement.
you didn’t think things could get worse but it did. it got beyond worse and here you are, crouching down on the pavement of a deserted street.
the rain was so loud it silenced your cries and sniffles.
but suddenly, the rain stopped falling on you and the sounds of your sobs reached your ears. in confusion you lifted your head, thinking to see the rain had stopped. instead, your eyes meet golden ones.
the single sight of them somehow warmed your heart. the feeling seemed foreign to you.
“what is such a beautiful girl like you doing in a place like this?” the silver haired man had his clear umbrella tilted towards to so it can shelter the both of you from the angry weather.
you sniffled, admiring the enchanting looks of the male.
he offered his other hand to pull you up which you took. it was warm and soft, a big contrast to your wet and freezing ones.
the man chuckled, “oh my. we should get you somewhere warm. you’re drenched too!” he looked at his attire before getting an idea. “here, do you mind holding this for me?”
he handed you the umbrella after you nodded. the man proceeded to remove the cardigan he was sporting and pushed it softly to you.
after realizing what he meant you quickly shook your head and held out your palms. “n-no i can’t take this.” he smiled. he found you endearing.
“please, i insist.”
you wanted to refuse but the wind was excruciatingly cold. you complied and slipped on his warm cardigan, enveloping you with his scent.
the man muffled a cute laugh with his hand. “i’d say it looks better on you than me. i’m azuma by the way.
