when maddie hears bucky screaming, she runs down the hall, flings open the door and runs up to him. she wakes him up, pulling him out of the nightmare. she holds him tight and showers him with kisses until he calms down. they talk for a little while before they fall asleep in each others' arms.
𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐞
maddie doesn't have nightmares often, but when she does, it's about her parents or bucky dying. she's screaming and crying. when bucky hears it, he's there almost instantly, holding her close as she sobs into his chest. he whispers, "it's okay... it's okay..." until she finally stops crying. he stays even after she falls back asleep, just in case she has another nightmare.
