A white she-cat casted a shadow over the tiny mewling kit. "Hush child," She purred. The Queen's voice silenced the endless mewing of the dappled kit. Her warm breath flooded over the kit enclosing her in an everlasting darkness.

"Lynxkit?" A soft voice echoed off the nursery walls. Lynxkit opened her eyes gazing around the den. Her opticals adjusted to the light, perking her long ears. "She has long ears just like you, SwallowFrost!" Purred VineCloud. LynxKit cocked her head toward the plump she-cat. She had a thick black pelt with white clumps of patches into it. SwallowFrost dipped her head in thanks and started gossiping with VineCloud. LynxKit blocked out the ranting of the two queens until she recognized her father's forest scent. SparrowHeart padded into the den flicking his stubby tail. LynxKit turned around examining her own. "How come my tail isn't short?" She whispered. SparrowHeart took a quick glimpse at his kit and snorted. LynxKit felt her tail dropped. Doesn't he love me? SwallowFrost noticed SparrowHeart and licked his forehead. "The rouges are gone.. Right?" SparrowHeart hesitated to answer and narrowed his eyes at LynxKit. "This is private information, and I don't think our.. Daughter will like to hear it.." LynxKit scuffled back a retort sinking her tiny claws into the soil. SwallowFrost nodded and scooted her out of the den. "But SwallowFrost!" Complained LynxKit, wailing as she was nudged out. "No buts' sweetheart, now carry on." Her mother cooed, gingerly.

"Stupid SparrowHeart!" She muttered as she scampered out.

A butterfly fluttered past the LynxKit flapping it's golden wings against the breeze. LynxKit instinctively dropped down into a hunter's crouch and smirked at the majestic creature. A ghostly voice muttered in her ear. "Huh? Who said that?" LynxKit squeaked, leering around the clearing. Nothing. She shook her eyes and focused on the bright butterfly. The sunlight glistened gorgeously on its thin, fragile wings. LynxKit crept closer holding her breath. She sprung on it grasping her paws around it's body. "Gotcha!" She yowled in satisfaction.

She giggled and peeked between her paws. The butterfly soared from her paws roughly shocking LynxKit. "Mousedung! Come back!!" The small dappled Maine-coon kit raced after it. Her icy blue eyes widened in surprise, the floor seemed to escalate... She yowled plunging down the tunnel, sinking into what it seemed, a lonely, endless fall.

Screeches of Death- Blood washing up on the shore clouded LynxKit's innocent mind. She awoken by a jolt gazing around puzzled. "W-where am I?" She stammered, trembling with fear. The voice whispered again in her ear, but more clearly like a drop of water. "Don't fear the one who will fear you one day.. Be wary of the danger that leaks between the world of cats.." The ghostly voice rasped the words of the omen and vanished.

A layer of wind
Drifted over LynxKit. "What does that mean?" She demanded, thirsty for answers. The only respond she gotten was a drop of water spattering on her forehead. "If I'm gonna get out of here... I'm going to need faith!" LynxKit puffed out her chest and set out in the damp cave. "But....Where is it?"
