LyxnKit followed DawnRunner cautiously. Her muscles tensed just watching him happily stroll by. Why is he always happy?  LynxKit's face felt hot for a heartbeat. She sunk her claws into the ground in distress. DawnRunner spun around gazing at LynxKit with his gentle eyes. LynxKit shuffled her paws in embarassment and stuck her nose up toward the hazy sky. DawnRunner snorted and trotted ahead his paws lightly treading the grassy moor. He turned back his eyes sparkling with joy. "Fox caught your tongue? Hurry up slowpoke!" His voice chimed through the whole forest like a kittypet's collar. LynxKit let out a high-pitched squeak. "I'm coming! Wait for me!"  She clumsily trekked by the tall tom's side.

Silverpelt glistered marvelously above their heads. LynxKit stared up at the stars above. She bit her lip at the thought of her clan above watching her. I miss you SwallowFrost.  LynxKit rammed into DawnRunner accidentally falling backwards. "Watch where your going you Old Goose!"  LynxKit spat glaring at DawnRunner's misty fur. He remained motionless, his olive eyes dull and lifeless. A shiver ran through LynxKit's spine. "D-dawnrunner?" She stammered, trembling all over. DawnRunner's fuzzy ears shifted back. He continued padding down the weeds that twisted along the path.  Is he deaf or something? LynxKit held back the retort; flexing her jagged retractables.  DawnRunner paused again tasting the air.

A drift of wind drowned her senses.

"Were almost there." DawnRunner spoke in a monotone mew. His pelt glowed through the darkness surrounding them. LynxKit felt a weak sensation in her bones. Her ears flattened against her head and slumped on the ground exhausted. Dawnrunner glanced over his shoulder. "Tired already? We'll be there in no time." LynxKit hissed through her gritted teeth. "I'm not tired!" Her paws were swelling from the thorns and rocks jabbed into them.  Dawnrunner gave LynxKit a sympathetic glance and sat next to her. "I'll protect you." LynxKit's belly swelled with rage. "I don't need your protection you mange-pelt!" Her whitish-grey fur was bristling with fury. Dawnrunner tilted his head in confusion. "If you say so. Keep your fur on, okay?" LynxKit nodded in embarrassment. I should be thankful, no matter how annoying that furball is.

A thick cloud patterned its way through the frail trees overhead.  LynxKit wrinkled her nose at the sound of thunder cracking in the air.  "Is it going to rain?" LynxKit's whiskers quivered at the thought of getting her fur wet with mud and water. "Of course it's going to rain." His voice was usually curt. "No need to act like you have a knot in your fur." LynxKit retorted sharply. DawnRunner swung back his ears flattened against his head. The anger in his eyes were tense, but showed another emotion LynxKit didn't recognize.  She ducked her head avoiding his gaze. She waited a few heartbeats, and shuffled her paws awkwardly.

Silence.

"I'm s-sorry," LynxKit stammered shocked. "I shouldn't be so rude." DawnRunner's olive eyes softened. He laughed and nudged LynxKit up. "Were almost there, c'mon you foxface!" He sprinted down a steep hill,  with talll reeds sticking up out of the moor. LynxKit raced after him; her paws clumisy trekking on the trail of pebbles unevenly. "Wait for me! I have small legs!" She wailed tripping onto a clump of moss. DawnRunner picked her up by the scruff and placed her on his back. "Were here." He whispered. There was a faint smile, it was large enough to make LynxKit smile back. "Alright Lynxie, welcome to DreamClan!" Will i ever be welcomed? She pushed back her thoughts and clinged onto DawnRunner nervously. Here we go...
