The snow swirls around outside. It has been a solid continuous flow of white flakes for almost 2 days now, and it does not show much sign of stopping.
Ciel Phantomhive is seated, more slouched, in a red velvet armchair quietly dozing while his butler pokes at a large fire in the hearth. The two large windows in the Master's study are letting light in, but are not open. The master shifts slightly in his sleep and Sebastian stops and glances at the boy to make sure he is still asleep. When he is satisfied with the state of this master he uprights himself and sits down in another red velvet chair placed across from the one Ciel is sleeping in. Sebastian leans back against the back of the chair and puts his chin in the palm of his hand. Studying the boy, he lets out a almost inaudible sigh.

Minutes pass to hours, and Sebastian is still seated in the chair. this boy, is such an... Interesting specimen. Part of me can't wait to eat him up, yet the other half wishes I could stay with him...

A crash comes from downstairs and Sebastian is startled, but only for a minute for he is one hell of a butler.

"The servants are on Holiday..." Sebastian muses without sound, "what could have possibly.."

Another crash from the downstairs draws the butler out of the comfy chair and down into the kitchen to investigate.

The wind whistles softly as Sebastian turns the corner to see what was making the noise. Peering into the kitchen his expression softens at what he sees.

A small red cat is smelling the contents of a bowl on the island in the middle of the kitchen. Flour is strewn everywhere and tiny white paw prints can be seen trailing from the cabinets, on the floor, and to the top of the island. The whole seen in fact is quite disorderly.

Sebastian however is not angry at the mess. But is captivated by the small cat. He slowly walks over to the island and bends down so the cat is at his nose. "Look at you..." He whispers, "Such a beautiful creature."
He picks up the cat and takes a towel from the floor.

Dabbing the cats paws ever so gingerly, he removes the flour from them. Then he holds the cat up and looks at it again.

"What an odd color cat..!" Sebastian murmurs softly into the cat's fur.

"Mmmm yes." A familiar voice causes Sebastian to grit his teeth and forget the cat.

A clip clopping sound like high heels on wood flooring is heard from behind the butler, and Sebastian puts down the cat and it scampers away.
Sebastian straightens himself and turns around to find himself face to face with Grell Sutcliff, the shinigami.

Sebastian is the master of straight face, and he used it now.

Grell saunters up to him, with a horrid smile apon his red lips. Sebastian stands tall and glares at him.

"What," he says through clenched teeth, "do you want."
