Izuka's POV
"I'm here to check on mom again, could I take her to the gardens?"
———————————————————————————

"Oh Izu! Don't the sunflowers just look great now?" My mother smiled up at me as she touched the glowing flower.

"Yeah they look great mom." I gave her a small smile and continued to walk along the cobblestone path.

We walked in a comfortable silence, gripping each other's hands, heading to my mothers favorite area of the gardens, the roses. We passed by the small bird bath and a few big trees with various carvings in them and leaves slowly falling as we passed.

I pulled out a small blanket and laid it underneath a tree along with a small case of treats from the cafe.

"2 months ya know.." my mother softly began.

I tipped my head.

"You were quite busy the last two months. I hadn't gotten any letters or visits from anyone, mainly you." Her fragile hand wrapped around a small rose and her gaze not meeting my own.

"Mom I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to make you feel lonely or anything I just um had -." I felt my voice fade as I began to fiddle with the hem of my skirt.

"Don't worry Izuka! I was just a bit worried when I wasn't hearing from you as much, so I'm kinda curious to know how you've been."

My mother. Nothing could compare to her warm and sweet smile. She was so kind and strong, trying to always put on a happy face for others. Staying in that dumb hospital almost all the time. She had always been number one on my 'Have To Protect' list if I ever became a hero...Yeah I'm pretty sure she still might've felt guilty about that, but she wouldn't admit it.

"Don't worry mama, besides you do deserve an explanation for my absence huh?" I scratched my cheek a bit as my mother and I sat on the blanket.

"Well of course I do! I mean, you even have short hair now!!" she giggled and ruffled my messy hair.

"Well..Hmm here have some tea and food first." I passed the snacks to her and began my story as I floated a rose over to me.

"Let's see...Do you remember the last time I came to visit you? I was a bit late because I was busy?"

She nodded and nibbled at the cookies.

"Well, I had actually met this guy a few days before that. He uh 'saved' me from some perv or maybe whatever! Turns out he was quite an idiot, nice, but an idiot. And-!"

"Hold on dear," she tapped her cheek lightly, "Looks, 1 out of 10."

"Mom.!! That's um that's not the point." I crossed my arms securely. "I'll rate after the story.." I whispered and was met with a small chuckle.

"Anyways, I repaid him for helping me with coffee. We exchanged numbers and what not, probably two days later, he sent me a text asking to hangout at the mall. That's where I had really been that day." I smiled remembering the events that had happened that day.

"I guess I just got caught up in the fun and lost track of time, and that's when I rushed here after thanking him. So anyways, a while later we decided it might be fun to have some of our friends meet up with us. Uraraka, Iida, Kaminari, and Jirou came out with me at the cafe. Oh!! And you'll never guess who I saw again!"

I paused for a quick second.

'Can I tell mom..? Probably not..I mean Kacchans a villain now, it may put him at risk.' I took a petal off of the rose in my hand.
