Chapter 2: Dinner With Her

I walk farther into the kitchen and start meeting more people. There's so many people that most of the names go in one ear and out the other.

I can't keep up.

As I'm talking to a boy, I think his name may be Jackson? Alex walks up to me placing a hand on my back. "So Becca told me that my job tonight is to make sure you have fun. Jackson we gotta get this girl a drink come on,"

Alex must be a little tipsy herself too. Sober Alex wouldn't be this nice to me also her flushed cheeks give it away too.

"You need to catch up with me. I already took 5 shots, you gotta take them back to back," She says as she starts pouring the cheap vodka into a shot glass. Game on.

Okay game off. I was in way over my head but I couldn't help myself as Alex kept taunting me. "Drink more," She would say to me and before I knew it I found myself on the bathroom floor with Alex and Becca pulling me up. I close my eyes but hear Becca say "There's no way she can go back to the dorms like this. Let's just let her sleep over,"

I feel them drag me and Alex say "She's so heavy but she looks so tiny,"

I'm quickly swept off of my feet literally and am placed into a bed. I finally open my eyes and look at my surroundings even though the room is spinning I can tell that it's the guest room. Tell me why when I realized this my heart dropped a little bit.

"Look, Sleeping Beauty is awake," Alex says pointing over to me.

"Hi. I want some water," I say as they both begin to laugh. "I'll go get you some water baby," Becca says.

Strangely I feel like I'm the only one that's drunk now.

They both leave the room and I pass out before Becca comes back with the water. I wake up again when I hear muttered voices out in the hallway "She's cute don't you think?" I wonder who they're talking about.

And isn't it a bit strange to be talking to your girlfriend about how cute other girls are?

The cute comment is followed by "I can tell you like her. Don't try to hide it," Who are they talking about? My curiosity gets the best of me as I get out of the bed. I rock a bit but after I stabilize myself I start walking towards the door. My soberness has come back a bit and I think I can walk in a straight line. I walk outside into the hallway and am greeted by Becca's surprised expression.

"Why are you out of bed?" Alex asks me walking towards me. "Actually it's good that you're up. Come drink some water," Alex says taking my hand and pulling me into the kitchen.

Becca follows us and says "We tried to get you some water earlier but you passed out before we got back," I gulp down the water that Alex hands me before asking "What time is it?"

Becca checks her phone before saying "It's 6 am. And you need to go back to sleep,"

"Why are you guys still awake?" I ask and they both shrug.

Alex walks over to me and grabs my shoulder, "Okay time to go back to bed. You're still a bit drunk and we won't let you walk back like that,"

I follow her guiding hand and get back into the bed and drift off into sleep.

I wake up to the sound of video games. Where am I?

I climb out of the bed and walk to see Alex playing her Playstation 4. "Where's Becca?" I ask, picking out the crust in my eyes.

So much for looking cute in front of them. They outdo me every time anyway.

Alex pauses her game and takes time to look at me "Um she went to go get some food I think," "Oh okay," I respond. "Well I better get going. Thanks for taking care of me last night, I swear I normally don't get that fucked up. I don't know what came over me," I feel a blush heating up my face. I just know I made a total fool out of myself.
