The morning light had peaked its way in through the blinds, shining peach coloured rays of light onto the wall near Betty's head. She groaned, and turned around, nuzzling her face back into the pillow and pulling the soft duvet over her head. The peaceful silence was soon interrupted as Betty's phone began to ring of on her bedside table so she rubbed her knuckles against her eyes and slowly opened them, instantly being blinded by the light. She sighed as she unplugged the phone and pressed down onto the green button before bringing it to her ear.
"Morning. Who is this?" Betty yawned. She hadn't bothered to check the name of the contacts when grabbing the phone. "It's me B. I just wanted to check in and see how your first morning is going." She heard her friend, Veronica, say through the other line. Betty dragged her legs over the bed and slowly sat up. "Did you have to call so early?" Betty whined And reaches her arms out to stretch. "It's ten o'clock Betty." V laughed and she heard her other friend Cheryl laugh along too. "Start ringing me at eleven, never earlier. Jughead clearly isn't a morning person so I'm not going to be one either whilst I'm here. I'm going to go change now since you woke me up." Betty said, standing up and walking over to the window. She twisted the little stick so now the blinds were open and she could see the empty city below them. "Bye B." Veronica chirped. Betty hung up and instantly dropped her phone to the bed before walking into the wardrobe.
She had picked out some sweatpants and a tight black tank top, and was now twisting her hair up into a bun with her fingers and a hairband. Betty walked out of the room and opened one of the cupboards in the kitchen where many boxes of different cereal was. She pulled out Cheerios and placed two bowls onto the counter, and poured her and Jughead some of the cereal, more for him obviously. Betty added some milk and dunked the spoons down into them and held onto them tightly before walking towards Jughead's door and lightly knocking on it with her foot. She heard his muffled voice telling her to come in so she pushed the door open and placed the two bowls down onto the bedside table.
"I made you some cheerios." Betty smiled nudging Jughead who was hiding his head into his pillow and was wrapped in his duvet. He quickly pulled his head up and looked at her with a grin across his face. "Your the best house guest I've ever had." Jughead said, as he sat up letting the duvet drop to his waist revealing his bare chest. Betty mentally cursed at herself for looking and dragged her eyes away so she could pass him his bowl. "Thank you." He mumbled and leaned back against the headboard of his bed. Betty did the same and grabbed the bowl, placing it in her lap and began to dip her spoon in to capture some of the cereal. "Want to watch a movie?" Jughead asked, raising his eyebrow and grabbed the remote from the side table. Betty nodded whilst Jughead flicked on Netflix and then began to search through the new realist.
"She looks like my friend Veronica." Betty laughed pointing at the girl in the picture next to the description, which Jughead was reading. "Want to watch it? It's new." He asked and Betty immediately nodded. Not even five minutes into the movie the two had finished their bowls of cereal and Betty had placed them in the sink before walking back into Jughead's with a big fluffy blanket she had found laying on his couch. "You seem to be making yourself very comfortable." Jughead laughed as the girl sat back down onto the bed and wrapped the blanket round her. "Oh. I'll ask next time. Sorry." Betty said. She didn't realise that it might have been a bit intrusive to start taking things without asking. "No it's fine. Just act like you would at your home. I don't mind as long as you don't steal it." He smiled and buried himself back into the duvet, covering his bare skin again. Betty sighed as she laid down too and curled into a ball.
Yes I said I was leaving this account but I found a draft from a while back that was supposed to be part of the next part and I thought I'd just share it :)
