Thea's POV

  The music in Verdant was bumping loudly across the whole building. Twenty one year olds dancing their hearts out to the DJ's tracks. I look at all the liquor displayed on the  shelves behind the bar and sigh at my lack of age. I pick up a clear glass and wipe it down thoroughly, making sure there's no dirty hand prints or smudges on the glass. It's tempting not to pour a shot right now and just down it. "One more year Thea, one more year" I tell myself regretfully.

  "What's got you so down in the dumps?" I turn around to see who's talking to me. A girl with curly black hair securely wrapped in a ponytail, the most gorgeous grey eyes I've ever seen and a scar on her upper lip smiles at me.

  "Nothing's wrong just wishing I was twenty one so I can drink" I plop my head onto my hands as I lean on the bar "it's been a rough couple of weeks".

  "I understand wanting to drink your problems away, I wish I was twenty one too"

  "How old are you?"

  "Nineteen"

  "Nineteen!?" I look at her with a surprised face. "How did you even get in here? We have a bouncer"

  "I snuck through the bathroom window, it was rather easy. Besides your not old enough either how are you here?"

  "My...Supposed brother owns the club"

  "Supposed?"

  "Apparently, we're half siblings. Plus my boyfriend just broke up with me and I have no idea why" I rub the corners of my forehead, feeling a minor headache coming on.

  "Sorry to hear that, but I'm sure your brother didn't tell you because he didn't see you as his half sister, but as his sister"

  "You have any family?" I lock eyes with her, finding it extremely hard to look away.

  "I had two younger brothers. They're... they're gone now, lets just leave it at that"

  "I'm sorry" I grab hold of her hand. "I guess we have to cherish what we have while we have it"

  "Couldn't have said it better myself" she smirked, rubbing her thumb against the back of my hand.

  The ringtone on my phone rang loud, I looked at the message that appeared on the lock screen. It was from Oliver saying that he wanted to talk. I quickly glance at the time and see that it's nearly two. I've never talked to someone for so long in my life, not even Rory.

  "I'm so sorry, but I have to go. My brother wants to talk to me" I turn to her with an apologetic look in my eyes. Not really wanting to stop talking to her.

  "It's fine. You go talk to your brother" she took a napkin from the counter top. She grabbed a pen and wrote down her name and number. "Don't be a stranger" she winks a grey eye at me. I could feel the heat rise to my cheeks as she walked away.

  "Cassia" I say her name in my head, I feel her name flood my mind as if it was the only thing that mattered. I type in her number. Since she's a "C" it's placed at the top of my contacts list. I head home, hoping that I can put this whole half brother thing behind us.

  An hour later I arrive at my loft to see Oliver sitting on the couch patiently. He stands up readying to explain himself, but I cut him off hugging him close. He wraps his arms around my shoulders and hugs tightly. I smile at the realization of him still caring for me.

  "Thea, I know mother and I messed up in not telling you about who your real father is. It's just we didn't feel it was necessary, I never thought of you as a half sister, but a... "

  "Sister..." I say interrupting and finishing his sentence for him.

  "How did you know I was going to say that?"

  "Cassia said the same thing to me" my heart   beat picked up just thinking about her. I smile warmly.

  "Who's Cassia?"

  "Someone I met at Verdant. She snuck in inside and we just talked for the whole night"

  "Is this someone I have to worry about?"

  "No, and please don't go all Green Arrow on her. I want to be able to see her again" he quirks an eyebrow at me. As if he noticed the hint of attraction in my voice.

  "I promise I won't"

  "That's a lie"
