THE GARDEN
UNIT : 127 SQUAD [ DOYOUNG ]
༄
> doyoung came to a stop near a garden bridge, his heart racing and lungs gasping for air. he had been running for what felt like an hour—which, in reality was only ten minutes since he wasn't the most athletic person—from kun in the museum.
luckily, doyoung found an open portal just in time and ran through. he wasn't exactly sure how the portals worked, but he knew that players from different teams wouldn't always end up in the same location after entering one. they were also unable to control where they wanted to go, which was very inconvenient to doyoung.
feeling very lightheaded, he trudged across the bridge into the flower garden. the gun hanging from his hand was no longer useful with its empty magazine and dented barrel (somehow, from fighting kun).
he tossed it into the stream and carried on. one thing was certain: 127 was screwed. they started out fully prepared and were now split up, just like doyoung had predicted. the fact that they only lasted until the third or fourth level was what annoyed him the most.
he was either going to have to work alone or find new allies. he doubted the latter, since he trusted absolutely nobody and had very little expectation for their ability.
well, maybe except for the vision... and yangyang. ever since he overheard that conversation in the plaza, he couldn't stop thinking about them. what were they planning? how could he avoid them?
or, how could he partner with them?
doyoung stopped for a moment. did he really want to partner with murderers? sure, almost all of the players would be murderers at some point, but the vision did it willingly. it was like they fed off this sort of thing, took enjoyment from it, and his own mental state wasn't damaged enough for that.
a few more minutes into walking aimlessly, he didn't expect to suddenly feel dizzy. his head was throbbing, his sight started getting blurry. did he hear voices, or was it just his mind?
he tried to concentrate on his surroundings and noticed the flowers seemed to glitch, from their rich pink color to a sudden neon green. he could've sworn the water in the stream behind them stopped running. the trees were bare now. the air smelled of a hospital room.
and in the gazebo nearby stood yuta, who he didn't get a chance to process before collapsing from fatigue.
