The glass door opens and a mustached man enters with a nervous disposition. He looks about him as he adjusts his collar of his coat. He informs the hostess at the front of the restaurant of his meeting of a party waiting for him. He follows the woman to a dimly lit corner table in the back of the dining area, where Victor Rusk sits with Maria sitting by his side.

"Good of you to come, please sit, something to eat perhaps?" offers Victor.

"Uh yeah, just a burger and soda thanks," he orders as he sits across from the two hosts.

When the waitress leaves after delivering the newcomer's food, Victor looks about him, then directly at his guest.

"Do you know who I am?" Victor asks.

"Can't say that you look familiar, " the guest answers.

"I am your deceased boss's brother, Victor Rusk, and I have questions about a bodyguard," Victor says.

"A bodyguard? Which guy?" the guest asks.

"Not a guy, a woman," Maria chimes.

Maria takes and slides a picture over to the guest. He takes a look as a look of recognition comes to his face.

"Yeah, I know who that is, how could I forget that woman? That's Maxine," he states.

Maria and Victor each give a knowing look at each other.

"What can you tell us about her?" Maria asks leaning forward on the table.

The guest looks at the duo in turn. He begins to nod as if he understood why he was there.

"I was sent to Chloe's Record Store to find a bodyguard for Mrs. Rusk, It's a front for finding people who don't ask questions when you hire them, It was there that I learn about Maxine, so I tell the boss, your brother, about her and so he wanted a meeting," the man explains.

Victor clasps his hands together as he listens to the tale.

"Anyway, Mr. Rusk didn't want his wife hooking up with a bodyguard so he figured a female one would be perfect for the job, protection without the temptation of cheating, but what he and the rest of us didn't know that his wife and Maxine would end up hooking up anyways," chuckles the guest.

Victor's hard stare causes the man to cough a little and stop his laughing.

"So one day, we get this package, no return address on it, delivered to Mr. Rusk, He opens it and sees the photos of his wife, and her female bodyguard, kissing it up at his property he was selling over at the lake," the guest says.

"So, I take it that Mr. Rusk didn't take it well," Maria surmises.

"Madam, that would be the understatement of the year, He had four guys get Maxine, and Mrs. Rusk, and bring them to a warehouse just outside of the city, I was there in the room just along the wall where he confronted both of them, He was so angry, but his wife started to yell back at him so he struck her, then the shit began to fly!

"What happened?" Maria asks.

"Maxine tries to get at Rusk, despite being tied up and two guys holding her, swearing that she was going to kill him, and it was soon afterward that they left, he was going to have Maxine buried under a ton of rock as Mrs. Rusk watched, but that didn't go so well from what I hear," recalls the guest.

"Indeed, it did not," Victor Rusk states.

The guest rises from his seat, "Be back in a minute, gotta go to the can."

Victor watches the man leave then he looks at Maria and nods. Maria pulls a small bottle out as the waitress places the man's food on the table. Maria pours some of the contents out on the meat of the exposed burger as she lifts the bun. Victor watches the surroundings making sure that they were being watched.

"You sure about this boss?" Maria asks as she puts away the bottle.

"Yes, It was he who brought the bodyguard into my brother's life, and he also stayed behind when they left the warehouse that day, he should pay," Victor coldly reasons.

"Do you know if we have eyes on this Maxine?" Tusk asks while looking about.

"Yes, Victor, they only await your word to strike," Maria answers.

"They have it, " Victor says as he eyes the guest returning to the table.

The guest arrives at the table and sits to enjoy the meal. As he eats Victor seems to watch with grim satisfaction of what will happen in the next hour.

"Did you order anything?" the guest asks.

"Oh no, we ate earlier, but please don't mind us, we have to leave anyway but please stay and finish, We insist, " Victor says as he and Maria rise to leave.

"Hey before you go I feel that I should warn you, Maxine, she isn't going to be an easy mark, If you are planning to do her in, bring lots of help, she is the best at what she does, and she has no qualms about doing whatever it takes to survive and keep her Ivanova safe," warns the guest.

"I see, thank you for your kind warning," Victor says as he and Maria finally leave the table.

A short time later the man exits the restaurant. He makes his way down the sidewalk and down to the nearby subway. As he makes it to the foot of the stairs he pauses with a strange look on his face. He clutches at the shirt on his chest. Then his knees give way, causing him to fall to the floor. People begin to gather around him as he lies on his back. Some call for emergency services as more people gather to be silent witnesses to his last breath.
