Arriving back in Chicago, Harper and the gang were extremely happy to be together again. Arriving back at Harper's mansion-house, they immediately celebrated with some afternoon ice cream and candy.

This unfortunately didn't last long. Harper heard a soft rat-a-tat-tat on the door and went to answer it. Lo and behold, it was a fully armed CCIA agent, and he wanted Harper.

"Are you Harper Linden?"

"Yes."

"Mr. Linden, you're under arrest for destruction of private property and grand larceny."

Harper decided to do the smart thing and run the hell away.

He hid behind the wall between the kitchen and the living room as the agent busted his way in.

"Just so you know, you're all under arrest too, so don't move."

Harper had to act quickly. The agent was getting closer, and he was armed with every weapon imaginable to man, or so it seemed. Harper saw a nice vase with a dead flower inside. He deducted it was worthless and grabbed it. He stood up, bumping into the agent.

"Mr. Linden, I advise you come with us now if you don't want t-"

The sound of shattered glass tinkling across the floor filled the air as the agent went down and went down hard, knocked out from the glass tossed at his skull.

"Guys, we gotta hide. Come with me."

Harper opened the basement door and led his friends down. A normal basement, it seemed, but Harper had some secrets.

He pushed a button next to the door and the entire room transformed seemingly instantly into a huge laboratory, filled with machines, wires, pipes, and much more.

"This is my lab. You like it?"

His friends nodded slowly - they had no idea what was happening.

"See, when I was five, the Central Intelligence Agency had me build this place. My parents and the CIA were the only ones who knew about it. They sent me the supplies and now, here it is. I don't know why it was built, but it was."

His friends were shocked at this, but they figured they were here for a reason, so they let him keep talking.

"Now, I took you all down here because this place contains so many things that could help us, like weapons and such."

Landon finally chimed in with a question. "Why do we need weapons and such,"

Harper responded simply, shortly, and sweetly.

"We're at war with the CCIA."

His friends all seemed to object at the same time, yelling at him all at once as to why going to war with a governmental agency is a crappy idea.

"They have more and better weapons than us!" "You saw that agent!" "Dude, bad idea." "Do you want us all to die or something?"

But then Harper came back to all these comments with one simple remark.

"We have more and better weapons then they do. Let me show you."

He pushed a button at the opposite wall and it opened up to an endless line of guns, knives, and even explosives. He showed his friends exactly what each item did.

"Each of us will have one of these. Once the bullet makes contact, it strikes the area around it with immensely strong lightning."

"We've all gotta have a Electricator. This one shoots pure electric bolts towards its destination."

"This is the Electricade. Push the button, throw it, and watch it launch bolts of electricity towards everyone and everything in a fifteen-foot radius."

"You all know what an Evader does. All of us will have one."

"This Electroblade is pretty much a knife charged with power."

"Classic jetpack. Push the buttons on each side to fly."

"This is the Capacitor. Push this button to launch the plug. Plug it in to the designated spot on all of these weapons and tools to recharge them."

And there was more. But Harper just collected fifty of each and handed them out, and kept some more in his Electropack just in case.

And that was when the basement door's lock was picked.
