Harper, Darren and Sharon were the only ones in Chicago, and Harper and Darren's parents were in nursing homes, so Sharon invited her parents to the celebration. Darren, the cook of the group, whipped up some spaghetti with cream sauce, garlic bread and butter, a blue cheese and sausage cube platter, truffle-flavored burgers, sparkling water, chocolate kisses and root beer floats for the party in a matter of a few hours.
"This is great!", said Sharon.
"Damn right!", said Harper, and they kissed.
This was a short-lived celebration, however, as Sharon had to get home. So she left to tell her parents the good news.
Harper decided to videocall Jennifer.
"Hey, mate. What's up?"
"Well, Darren proposed to Sharon."
"Oh really? That's great! When's the wedding, I'll be there!"
"We don't know yet, I only learned about this Marry Sharon deal ten minutes ago!"
"Oh, sorry. Just...let me know when."
"Sure. Bye."
"Bye."
Then the video call ended.
A minute later, it was replaced by a familiar phone number, on the screen, waiting to be accepted.
