I'm Scared!

Synopsis~ Patton hated how everyone loved Romulus. So what would any deranged control freak do other than forcefully rip him into two new sides? Well let's say... things don't boat well for Patton.

Warnings~ unsympathetic Patton, crying, screaming, slight choking, mentions of trauma and the twins being in pain.

There he is. King Romulus. He's so perfect isn't he? Ugh! Why can't he just let me get close to Virgil and Logan?! I'm not gonna hurt them. Well unless they need it.

Patton thought angrily at the sight of Logan and Virgil hanging off of Romulus' arms like koalas. They were laughing together Janus was in the kitchen making dinner while Patton was watching them.

Then an idea popped into his head. What if he made Romulus split? Then he would have more control over him because his powers would be halved. Patton smirked evil and set about putting his plan into action.

Romulus had put the two giggling sides down and was telling them stories about his adventures.
"Hey Romulus? Can I talk to you for a moment?" Patton chirped in a sickly sweet voice. The side in question stopped in his tracks as he hung his head and walked towards the moral side.

Despite being nearly 5 inches taller than Patton, Romulus was very afraid of him. He was the reason he had depression and confidence issues after all. And the threats and punishment didn't help much either.

Putting on a forced smile he looked to Patton.
"Yes padre?" he said trying to keep his voice light as to distract himself of his fear. Said side screamed and pointed to the floor.
"SPIDER!!" Romulus immediately drew his dagger ready to attack it when Janus ran in.

"ROMULUS WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" the deceitful side screamed while running over to Patton's side. It was at this moment ((he knew he fucked up. I'm sorry)) the king looked down to see Patton with a cut along his cheek. He was scared that he cut him when he saw that his blsde showed no blood. The next thing he knew, he was being dragged into the inagination.

~Meanwhile with Vee and Lolo~

The two were close. So they had special ways of communicating. Logan held out his arm as Virgil began tracing letters on his forearm with his fingertip.
"I don't trust him." he spelled out. Logan traced a reply onto Virgil's arm.
"I don't either."

The two jumped when they heard Patton scream. But then the two saw Patton put on one of those Halloween Scars and fake blood. The two watched as Patton convinced Janus to split Romulus up. They stayed quiet knowing that Patton didn't like it when they interrupted.

Then they saw Romulus being dragged by the arm to the imagination. They followed quietly, keeping low so they wouldn't get caught. They saw that Janus was crying while Patton was smirking.

Romulus felt something wrap around his wrists as he looked down to see baby blus strings wrapped around them. They were slowly pulling. He felt like he was going to get ripped in two. He looked at Janus who had silent tears rolling down his face.

"WAIT WHAT ARE YOU-" he couldn't finish his question as more of the strings wonud their way around his throat, effectively cutting off his breathing for a moment. Then as soon as they appeared, the strings on his neck vanished, causing his to let out a choked sob as he began to plead and plead. The pain was unbearable.

"NO PLEASE! DON'T DO THIS! I'M SORRY I WON'T DO IT AGAIN! I'LL BE GOOD. I WON'T THINK BAD THINGS ANYMORE!" he pleaded as he felt himself slowly start to fade into two parts. His knees buckled and he would have fell if it wasn't for the strings holding him up. He looked at Janus. Janus hung his head down and cried.

" JANUS PLEASE! YOU CAN'T KILL ME! I NEED TO BE THERE FOR OCTAVIAN AND VIRGIL AND LOGAN! PLEASE STOP IT!" he screamed as he felt his heart start tearing in two. Janus looked up at his friend and his eyes widened at what he said next.

"I'M SCARED! PLEASE I'M SCARED! Please..." his voice got quieter and more child like as two young boys fell to the ground in place of Romulus. One was red and one was green.

Virgil screamed out Romulus' name as he watched his friend disappear, only to be replaced by two boys who looked about his and Logan's age. His sadness quickly turned into anger as he ran at Patton, knocking him to the ground as he placed his hands around the father figures neck. Logan joined in as he held Patton's hands down.

Suddenly, Patton smiled. A disgustingly sick smile. That's when Logan turned his head to see Virgil holding his neck as strings sprouted from Patton's fingertips. He screamed at Patton to stop as Virgil tried gasping for breath. Patton dropped the boy and stood up when Logan ran over to his friend.

Janus rushed over to the green boy while Octavian, who has recently joined them, ran towards the red side.
"Rom?!" the oldest of the Passion brothers shouted as he shook the small side. He was out cold.

Janus was about to grab the small boy when he saw the he was crying. He was awake. The boy looked up at him and started to cry harder.
"D-dad... It h-hurts." he cried out as Janus picked up the small boy.
"You remember?" the deceitful side asked while rocking the smaller facet. Said side nodded and looked over at Octavian who was arguing with Patton who had the side in his arms.

"R-roman!?" the young boy screamed out as he jumped out of Janus' arms and bolted towards Patton. Roman woke up and began to tear up.
"R-remus?!" he called out as he pushed himself out of Patton's grip. The two locked eyes and ran at each other. They engulfed each other in a hug but not before running into Pride's open arms. The tw- no- three brothers cuddled close, all of them in shock.

That's when Roman was ripped away from the embrace. Logan was also torn away from Virgil as both sides landed in Patton's arms. Each of them trying to wriggle free. Patton's eyes glowed a soft blue before both children stopped struggling and fell asleep. With one final smirk he turned on his heel and sunk out, but not before saying,

"If any of you come back, I won't hesitate to hurt them."

And with that they were gone. Remus cried out and threw his head into his older brothers shoulder as Janus cradled a startled Virgil close.

After everyone calmed down, Octavian stood up with a sleeping Remus while Janus held Virgil who was slowly dozing off.

"We can stay at my castle." Octavian said as he grabbed Janus' shoulder as he sunk them both out to his part of the imagination.

Everyone lost something that day.

Imma write more about how everyone lost these things next time cuz I wanna. Also sorry for writing a lot of unsympathetic Patton. I can't explain it but I think I've read too much of books where he is a control freak so...
