Synopsis~ After two peaceful years in a happy relationship, Virgil is taken away and forced to repeat the same nightmare until he breaks free.

Virgil lay on the bed scrolling through Tumblr. Janus and Remus had to go out to sort something with the other dark sides. This left Virgil bored and with 3 hours to kill. He decided to just sit and wait for his boyfriends to get back.

An hour passed as he sat there patiently. Then he felt like someone was watching him. It was normal for him to feel this way right? He was Paranoia. Except this time felt different. Before he could see if his suspicions were correct, an arm wrapped around his waist and pulled him backwards. He went to scream out when a cloth was placed over his mouth and nose, forcing him to breath in the chemicals on it.

After a few minutes of struggling, Virgil passed out in the Prince's arms. Roman smiled to himself as he lifted his little stormcloud up and sank into his room. He lay Virgil on the bed and chained his wrist to the bedpost, incase he woke up before the fanciful side returned.

He cast a spell over the smaller side so that he would live the same nightmare again and again until he broke. It was the perfect plan. Or so he thought.

In Virgil's head

He walked around the recreation of the mindpalace. He was back with the light sides. It was horrible. He had just been forced to watch as Janus and Remus were tortured. He ran to his room and put on his headphones to force out the loud Disney songs coming from Roman's room.

This is Gospel started playing. It felt so relevant at the moment. He began to sing.

This is gospel for the fallen ones
Locked away in permanent slumber

He knew he was sleeping. He knew that none of this was real. Yet it still hurt.

Assembling their philosophies
From pieces of broken memories

He could remember what happened vaguely but it was very hazy.

The only other noise he could hear was his own heartbeat in his ears.

The gnashing teeth and criminal tongues conspire against the odds
But they haven't seen the best of us yet

He knew he would have to fight back but he wasn't ready yet. So he decided to wait a bit longer before he broke free.

Roman kept saying he loved him but if he really did, he would have let him go. He wouldn't keep putting him through all this pain.

'Cause these words are knives that often leave scars
The fear of falling apart

With every insult, the pain got worse. It was like he was getting stabbed every time Roman said something to him. In truth, he was too scared to stand up for himself. He didn't want the others to know his weaknesses.

And truth be told, I never was yours
The fear, the fear of falling apart

He wasn't Roman's. He was Janus and Remus'. Hell he wasn't an object. He was a person. A person with feelings. Of course Roman only saw him as a trophy.

He walked out his room with the music now playing out loud as he approached Roman's room. The Prince opened the door and let Virgil in. The smaller side stood up tall and began to sing again.

This is gospel for the vagabonds,
Ne'er-do-wells, insufferable bastards
Confessing their apostasies
Led away by imperfect impostors

He spat out the last word as Roman looked at him in shock. He was expecting Virgil to say that he loved him, not call him an imposter.

Bury me alive

Virgil pulled Roman down by the sash and whispered the last line into his ear in a threatening tone.

He pushed him away and screamed.

With this final chorus, the world melted away as he was brought back to consciousness. He looked around the room to see that he was handcuffed to the bed. He yanked on the chain and pulled it off.

He stood up and sunk back into the dark commons to see Remus and Janus freaking out. He rushed over to his boyfriends and hugged them both. The three decided to deal with what happened later. For now they just cuddled, making sure that Virgil was between the two of them.

They fell asleep in each others embrace.
