You had worked at Shelby Company Limited for around a year and a half now.You and Ada had been friends for years and you were in need of a job so Tommy gave you one.
You became his second secretary along with Lizzie and honestly it was great.You had become really good friends with Lizzie and a lot of the time you had bets going on how long Tommy would go without noticing you'd done something like swap your desks or replace his white whisky with brown.
You began to grow closer to Tommy and between the two of you a romance blossomed.The pair of you deeply cared for each other and you ached to spend every waking moment with him.
Tommy had a hard exterior but underneath he was sweet and caring and humorous.The two of you had been sneaking around for months.Tommy would always send Lizzie on errands so you could hook up in his office or send the boys on a wild goose chase out of Birmingham so you could walk along the canal.
Lizzie became very suspicious and wouldn't stop asking questions so you eventually told her.She also then helped you two sneak around.
You now spent most evenings in Tommy's bed either sleeping with each other,cuddling or talking about the future.
A few weeks later you walked into the betting shop to file away some new betting slips.When you sat at one of the tables Arthur,John,Polly and Ada all stared at you.
You looked up at them all "What?"
"Your neck" replied Arthur "It's got a few um"
You went to the mirror and saw you had a trail of hickeys down your neck.Your hand flew across your mouth and you let out a slight gasp.
"I told you her and Tommy were hooking up" said Ada smirking whilst she continued to read the paper.
"How did you know" I asked sitting back down shocked
"I didn't...I had a suspicion which you just confirmed" she said smirking further.
John and Arthur both looked at each other laughing.
"How the fuck have you two managed to sneak around without us knowing.Y/n your like the loudest female I've ever met and well we all now Tom isn't exactly a quiet character" John said jokingly.
"Yh I mean y/n you can't even watch a film without talking about your opinions and the back story and whatever" Arthur added.
Polly had been starring you up and down the whole time so you gave her an anxious smile.
"Arthur,John go find Tommy and take him to the Garrison and buy him a drink....he's gonna need it"
John and Arthur gave her a questioning look but they complied as Pol gave them a stern look.
"Aunt Poll what's going on" Ada asked
"Y/n stand up...to the side" Polly said
"Okay why" you asked standing up
"How late are you?"
Your eyes widened as you had completely forgotten your period was late
"A few weeks you replied"
Ada stood up and gave you a big hug along with Polly.
"Right come y/n and baby Shelby let's go join daddy at the pub" Ada said smiling.
