Niall and I have a baby boy now. Caleb James Horan. Elaine is now a year and a half old and Niall and I have been married for 8 months. Caleb was born 2 weeks late, stinker. He was born at 1:09 AM on March 19, 2026. It's now March 20 and Zayn and Liam are bringing our baby girl in to meet her baby brother. They're a year and a half apart. I got pregnant with Caleb when Elaine was 10 months old. Yeesh.
"Niall?"
"Yea Princess?"
"Let's not have another kid for a while." Niall and I laughed. We heard a knock at the door. Niall went to open the door. It was Liam, Zayn, and Elaine.
"Hi baby girl, come here. I have someone for you to meet." I said to Elaine.
"Baby?" Elaine said
"Yea. That's right. Baby. Come see." I said. Elaine walked up to me and Niall picked her up.
"Elaine, this is Caleb. He's your baby brother." Niall said. Elaine squirmed out of Niall's arms and onto my lap. She crawled closer to me and sat right next to Caleb on my lap. She placed a hand on him and studied him for a moment. What was she thinking? Did she not love the baby anymore?
"Baby mummy's tummy?" She asked
"Yea baby." I laughed. "That's the baby that was in mummy's tummy."
She leaned over and placed a kiss on Caleb's head, causing him to stir a bit.
"I love you baby." Elaine said. I looked at Niall who had the biggest smile on his face.
"Mr. and Mrs. Horan. Everything is looking good so you're free to go." The doctor came in and said then left. I looked at Niall and smiled. He started packing up our night bag.
"Elaine, baby, get up please. We're going home." I said to her.
"Ok mummy." She obeyed
Liam and Zayn took Elaine home while Niall and I finished packing up. We put Caleb in his carrier and headed out to the car.
"Addy, I am so proud of you." Niall said
"I love you. Thank you for being there."
"I love you too. Why wouldn't I be?"
"I dunno." We got home and Niall got the carrier out of the car and I got our night bag. We walked in to a peaceful home. The boys had gotten Elaine down for a nap and it was just all of the guys over. They all stood up as they saw us enter our home. We walked into the kitchen and placed the carrier on the table, as we did with Elaine. We lifted the carrier cover to reveal our precious baby boy. He didn't have much hair, but it was brown. We hadn't seen his eyes yet, but I'm hoping they're blue, but Niall wants them to be brown.
"He's beautiful guys." Liam said
"Thank you." We said. We had also posted the pictures of him on Twitter this morning for the world to see. He started to open his eyes. I looked at Niall and he pulled me in for a hug. Big blue eyes wandered the room. They were blue!
"They're blue!" I said. Caleb started to cry, so I took him out of his carrier and cradled him in my arms. Niall made him a bottle so I could feed him. Things were perfect. I love my life.
