"Hey babe?" I asked Niall.
"Yea?"
"Should I be this big at three months?"
"I don't know baby. Why don't I take the kids for the day and you go see a doctor."
"Ok. Thanks. I'll call right now."
"Ok."
I walked back in a couple minutes later. I was 3 months pregnant, but I looked like I was 5 or 6 months pregnant.
"Hey, I gotta go, the doctor said she can see me right now. I'll be back."
"Ok baby. Bye. Love you."
"Love you too. Bye." I kissed him as I headed out the door. I signed in once I got to the doctor.
"Adelaide Horan." The doctor called. "Hi."
"Hey."
"Wow, you're right, you are pretty big for 3 months. Have a seat, let's see what we got." She lifted up my shirt and put the cold gel on my stomach. I could hear the heartbeat of our unborn baby. Then I heard, my heartbeat? What the hell?
"Why can you hear my heartbeat?" I asked
"I don't know." She pushed harder, making me gasp
"What is it?"
"Congratulations! You're having twins! You've got one boy and one girl!" Twins?! Holy shit!! Niall's gonna be so happy!!
"Oh my god! Thank you so much!" She handed me the ultrasound photo and a recording of the heartbeats. I went to the store and picked up two onesies, one pink, and the other blue. I got a call from Niall.
"Hey." I said
"Hey. How was the appointment?"
"It was great! I found out the gender!"
"Really?! Oh my god, what is it?"
"I'll tell you when I get home."
"Ok. I'll be home soon, I took the kids for ice cream."
"Ok. I'm almost home. I've got an ultrasound photo and a recording of the heartbeat."
"That's great! I'll see you soon! Bye baby. Love you."
"Bye, love you too."
When I got home, I glued the ultrasound on the wall next to the first picture. Above it I wrote "We all love you both." Under it I put "So much."
"Baby! I'm home!" Niall yelled
"Hey! Coming!" I walked up to him and kissed him.
"So?"
"Guess." I said holding up both of the onesies
"Uhm. Boy?"
"Wrong."
"It's a girl?!"
"Wrong again."
"What?"
"Niall." I said, starting to cry. He looked really concerned.
"Addy?" He asked concerned
"It's both. We're having twins."
"What?! Oh my god! That's amazing!" He said, crying
"C'mere." I showed him the ultrasound on the wall and the recording of the heartbeats.
"Wow. Twins. Looks like we need another crib and changing table. Good thing it's a big room."
"Yea no kidding."
"Hey, all the guys and girls are hanging out right now, how about we Skype call em'?"
"Sure!" We saw Harry was online, so we called him.
"Hey!" Harry said. "Guys! C'mere! It's Addy and Niall!"
"Hey!" Niall and I said
"We've got some news." Niall said
"We're having twins! One boy, one girl!" I said
"No way! Congrats guys!" Zayn said
"Thanks."
"Well, we're gonna go pick names while the kiddos are sleeping. Bye guys." Niall said as he ended the call and closed the laptop.
"So. One boy, one girl. Hmmmm." I said
"How about Oliver for the boy? Oliver Greg." Niall said
"Aw, Oliver Greg, that's cute. Let's do that."
"Oliver Greg Horan and...."
"June. June Elise."
"Oliver Greg and June Elise. Baby, it's perfect." Niall said
"Oliver Greg Horan and June Elise Horan it is." I pulled out my phone and tagged Niall in a tweet with today's ultrasound photo

"Addy, Imma go pick up some pink and blue paint and some other baby stuff. I'll be right back." Niall said giving me a kiss
"Ok baby."
Niall came back later with paint, some clothes, another crib, another changing table, another rocker, diapers, wipes, bottles, formula, burp cloths, pacifiers, blankets, and anything else you can think of that a baby might need
"Holy shit Niall."
"Yea, I got a bit carried away."
"No kidding. We've still got months."
"At least we won't have to do it later?"
"That- that's true."
"C'mon, lets go put stuff away and paint their names in the nursery."
"Ok."
We set up the other crib first. Then we did the changing table. We put pink sheets on one crib and blue on the other. We painted their names in pink and blue above their cribs. We put their clothes in their dresser and put everything away. We painted their names in the door and headed downstairs to rest. I fed our dog, as I do everyday ( that I as a writer kind of forgot about until just now 😳😳 ), and joined Niall on the couch. Niall and I were both exhausted and fell asleep on the couch, where we stayed until morning. What a day.
