I put the last box in the house and closed the door. Flopping down on the sofa I took a deep breath. This was something I hate doing. Moving seems to take alot of you. As soon as I was about to close my eyes for a second the doorbell rings.
"Damn who can this be? I haven't even met anyone yet." Dewayne said as he stood up to walk to the door.
Dewayne got to the door and opened it. He was blown away at the sight he saw. He didn't say nothing at first. He just looked at her in awe. His mouth fell open slightly and he looked her up and down.
"Are you gonna greet me or just stand there and look at me?" Bethany said to Dewayne.
"Oh I'm sorry. Come on in." He said opening the door a little more for her to enter.
Dewayne watched her walk in the living room. His eyes followed her ass as she twist from left to right. When she got in the living room she turned and looked at him. Waiting for him to get inside she crossed her arms across her chest and looked around.
"You know this is my first time seeing this place in the inside in 5 years." Bethany started the conversation.
"Oh really? So it took me to move in to get you inside huh?" He said as he bit down on his lip."
Bethany clears her throat and holds her hand out to him.
"My name is Bethany Parker and you are?" She said as she gazed into his eyes.
"Dewayne. Dewayne Johnson. But everyone calls me Dee."
"Nice to meet you Dewayne. I'm your next door neighbor. I just wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood."
"You can call me Dee you know." Dewayne said as he looked down on her.
"I'm ok with Dewayne." She said walking away and looking around as she pulled her hand out of his.
"Damn Ma you snappy. And stuck up."
"Excuse me? What did you say to me?" Bethany said to him.
"I said you stuck up. A nigga trying to be nice to your ass and show you some hospitality but you want to be all bougie and shit." Dewayne said as a matter of fact.
"Don't get it twisted. Ain't nothing about me bougie. Just because I don't want to call you Dee."
"I said that's what people call me. So obviously that's what I want to be called." He said standing in her personal space.
"Well I prefer to call you Dewayne. Now is that a problem?" Bethany said to him.
As they stood there face to face looking at each other the doorbell rings again. Dewayne looked her in the eyes one more time before he went to the door. He walked to the door and opened it.
"Hey there young blood how you doing? Is my wife over here?" Joesph asked.
"And who may you be? And who is your wife?" Dewayne asked with a strong voice.
"My apologies. My name is Joesph Parker. I'm your next door neighbor. My wife said she was coming over to greet you and welcome you in the neighborhood but she didn't come back home yet. So I was wondering was she here." Joesph said.
