Next day rolled around.
"Hey, Dad, I've got to get going." Massey called.
"I can drop you and Lucas off today, but I have a meeting after school about the mistreatment of you and Shane." Mr. Prescott offered.
"Does that mean Auntie Tiana be coming?"
"No, Shawn is. He's very upset about Cory not doing anything about his daughter behavior. They have a strong friendship but it's breaking a bit." Mr. Prescott paused "Maya will be there with her Mom."
"...I've heard she's a bit flaky when it comes to Maya, Dad." Massey warned.
Going to get Lucas
Massey went up the stairs to his door and knocked.
Lucas called "Come in, Mas!"
"Hey," Massey opened the door "You ready for today?"
"Yep, it was better after you left. I was so mad, Riley and Maya acted like nothing happened, but the class was glaring at them and Mr. Matthews."
"Wow, hard glares?"
"Yeah, it got so chilly in the classroom."
The bell rang and the couple marched into the classroom, giving the evil eye to maya and Riley.
What about Farkle? He stayed quiet feeling bad for them.
"It was nice hanging out with Ravi." Massey said softly "He's sweet. I see him as a little brother figure."
"Yeah, I can't believe how the others treat him. They text each other but not him, really?" Lucas gasped.
"I offered to help him change schools, but it depends on when the parents are home." Massey sighed.
"...They're due home in a few months though."
"Come on, kids, move it! Time to move out!"
"That's our cue." Massey laughed
Elsewhere
"Maya, what's going to happen today?" Riley asked nervously.
"Nothing." Maya shrugged "I'm still coming to class, they should have known the suspension wouldn't stick."
"I've never lied to your Mom before."
"It's fine. I'll delete the evidence as soon as Cory gives my phone back."
Riley hesitated "...He won't. I've asked him and he said school rules state any media or video made for public humiliation means the phone privileges are revoked until—"
"All I hear is blah blah blah! Say need my phone to call my Mom?"
"That won't work, the meeting's set for lunch period."
"Damn it! If we delete that video recording then we'll have my mom on our side."
"Maya, bigger problem." Riley pointed as Auggie ran out the room.
"Damn kid, he's going to tell!" Maya growled.
"Maya, he won't believe him." Riley tried to assure her friend.
"Hey, Mr. Mathews." Maya winced as their teacher/father came in.
Both the girls looked sacred.
"The meeting tomorrow has been moved to the morning before school starts. Maya, I've already called your mother." Mr. Matthews glared.
"Dad, what do you mean, you changed the time of the meeting to the morning?" Riley panicked.
"Well think about it, the evidence is in Maya's phone, when she gets it back she can delete it." Mr. Prescott entered the office angrily.
"No, she cannot. There's a court order for the phone. If she tries to delete the video before school she's breaking the code of conduct." Mr. Matthews tried to explain.
"Mas, your Dad scares me sometimes." Lucas whispered to his girlfriend outside the office.
"Yep, I'm supposed to be meeting Shane and Shawn in there to." Massey sighed.
"Yep, I'll be there along with Cory. There's someone filling in for Katy and Topanga's at work, so we're golden." Mr. Prescott came out.
"Wow, smart move, Dad, I hope we at least get our side heard." Massey groaned.
"We will, darling, we will." Mr. Prescott nodded grimly.
Yikes! What's going to happen when the girls meet at the school meeting?
