The Real End

See You Soon

The 7th and 8th, they live as normally as possible, trying not to be or look sad, trying to have good relations with their relatives.
The 9th, the last day, they go outside like everyday. They decide to go at the park, which is not far from their houses. They sit on a bench and look at the sky for a long moment. They had no idea when or where exactly the meteor would hit the Earth, but they weren't stressing out about it. They just wanted to live their last day as an almost normal one. The day went slow but fast at the same time, it was almost sunset. While they were in their thoughts, they heard a young child saying loudly « Mom, look! A shooting star! » when pointing at the sky, innocently. They look at the sky, again, and see the shooting star, getting bigger and bigger every moment, as it was getting closer. They look at eachother, both with a sad smile on their faces. Nila said « I hope you had a great day for your 10th birthday.. even if its the last. ». Maël just hugged her really hard, then looked around them, and then at the sky. They hold hands as they look for the last time at the sky, getting darker. « See you soon. » was probably both their last thoughts.
