The next day, they met at the front of their houses. They go to school togheter, in silence, and when they get there, they just sit on the swings. Nila could notice that Maël was sad and angry, so she asks him what's on his mind that bothers him so much. He gets up, look at her, and starts talking, faster than what Nila was able to understand. She lets him finish, and ask him to repeat, slowly. He goes again, and talk about how sad he thinks it is that the world ends so soon, how he wanted more time, more memories with her. The fact that he wont see her when they're 15, 33, or 70 years old makes him even more sad. She gets up and gives him a hug. She says: « You know.. Maybe you think that when this giant rock hits Earth, everything will be over, gone. But I don't think everything works like that. I think that even if we ..die.. here, our soul or whatever that is inside us will still live, kind of. What I want to say is that even if we aren't completely alive, our souls will still stick together and have fun somewhere in the universe. ». There was nothing more said for the rest of the day, they went home and Maël thought about what Nila said. The more he was thinking about it, the more he wanted to believe it and just live the three days left on Earth like nothing will happen. Like they will still be together forever.
