It was good weather in Konoha, every place is fuzzing over the chunin exam in four days' time. The entrance place was heavily guarded since people from different villages will be entering, having chosen genins with them to participate in the occurring chunin exam.
Team 5, 10, 15, and Team 7 stood there, waiting to welcome someone. Well, it is not just them that was waiting but as well as the other chunin on their sides, standing by
As people's figure appeared from afar, they knew they were the people from the hidden mist, Suna, hidden sound, etc.
There were about 95 people all coming together, as well as 13 elite shinobis, you could guess that they were representatives and ambassadors from different states of the nation
The kids' facing was really serious, if you're a child you'd be scared to death. But that didn't matter since Jounins are there to welcome them and not little children
"I can see these children's faces that they all look intensely serious... I don't even have care when I was at their age!" Chocho exclaim besides Inojin
You could just say that they were the gossip buddies
"That's because you were busy talking about calories!" The pale boy hit back
"At least I'm civilized, I know no wrong! So I'm confident about being chubby!"
Inojin rolled his eyes "suit yourself!" He whispered
It didn't take long when the visitors reach the hidden leaf's gate. It was peaceful to see people getting along so well.
"Told you I'll see you!" Kagura's voice was the only thing Boruto set to focus on, while everyone is busy greeting with the others
"I know your words were true, I didn't bother to doubt it!" They laugh happily, not just far and Boruto kept glaring at him, narrowing his brows
"Is this the guy?" Chocho butt in, it couldn't be helped if you had a friend that might kill you someday because of embarrassing you to others
"Huh?" Kagura looks at her with confusion
"You're the one who gave Sarada the lilac, right?" Her tone was a bit cool expressing it
Sarada facepalm in her thought, urging to stop her right now but it might be rude interrupting them
"Ah... Yes, I... did" the young man didn't clearly know why she was acting towards him like this
The remaining team of 7 and 10 looks at their direction, walking close enough to hear them
Chocho closes her arms and looks from Sarada to Kagura with a playful smirk, "Are you... Sarada's boyfriend?"
Everyone who heard them went in silent as if it was a sudden question that needed to take with a serious answer
Boruto's heart was beating fast, he didn't know what to do but there's a desire to step in between them and drag Sarada out from Kagura's sight but unfortunately, he can't move his legs. All he could ever do was to stand there while listening to them
"Chocho!" Sarada hissed, "I'm sorry-"
"No, that's alright!" He waves his hand in front of Sarada "curiosity manage to cling on us, I don't blame your friend!"
Chocho gazes at them "I don't care if you wanna scold me but I want to confirm it!"
Yup, such a busybody indeed
Kagura was left with a don't-know-how-to-answer look and stared at the chubby girl with a completely stiff face
Sarada covered chocho's view by standing in front of her, her cheeks were now tainted with a pink blush. She's sure it's not a make-up
"Don't make a fuss! You're ruining our reputation by asking silly things!" She whispered fastly
She saw that mocking face Chocho gave her "aw, look! You're blushing!" She said it out loud
Now she was really embarrassed, she doesn't have the courage to face kagura this time.
Sarada felt a hand on her right shoulder and a figure appeared beside her
"I may not be her boyfriend yet but I'm courting her now!" He announces
Everyone who was listening to them had a shockingly surprised look. Did that mean Sarada agrees to court her? Is that why she accepted that flower?
Boruto's eyes were the wide cause of the sudden announcement, clenching his fist hardly
WHAT THE F*CK?! Why didn't she told me about it? Is that why they were intimate back at the summit meeting?! F*cking bastard! Screw HIM!
That was the most unexpected outcome of the day. Sarada look at the face above her, he looks back with a sweet smile
"Stop flirting! We still need to report to the Hokage!" Shinki walk up to them, having Yodo and Araya behind his back giggling
Sarada and Kagura broke the intimate contact and look behind them
"Ah, right!" Sarada said and immediately order people around
Boruto was still petrified and only came back to his sense when Mitsuki tap his back
"We should accompany the other guest, Sarada and Shikadai can handle things here!"
He couldn't defy the order and so she followed his friend with a frowning face
They took off with the other chunins and Jounins, leading them to a place where they'll have to stay for the meantime
The representatives from Otogakure, Amegakure, Kusagakure and Takigakure are already left with their genins. Sarada and Shikadai took the lead to the Hokage's headquarters
It was quiet, shinki and his team was already used to it while it was Awkward for the three of them (Sarada, Shikadai, and Kagura) to be completely silent
It might be best if he hadn't told them that... and worse of all, it wasn't even the truth?! Wait... is he... announcing it publicly without my permission?!
Is this the start of her romance? She wasn't yet aware of the break up of Boruto and Sumire yet. Did fate want time to stop them from having a chance? Or is it coincidental and not as planned?

While walking down along with his teammate, his surrounding aura was too gloomy and even his fangirls were heartbroken seeing him ignoring them like they weren't even there.

It wasn't right because he hasn't confirmed his feelings yet, but time was rushing him and still left him behind with an undesirable situation
