27th day, the month of March.
She was sealing some supplies for her travel in a scroll, packing up for a long mission.
Unfortunately, it happened on the day he expected her to see him.
Her window glass suddenly catching raindrops, the gray sky appeared not long ago.
Just as she stood, she notices that picture frame. Remind her of something so unhappy (look above for the picture frame)
A sudden smile curve into her lips, looking at the left part of the frame, the two of them.
It was cute, she smiled at the picture. They both smiled cause they were happy
Wishing that memory would come back, and for the last time she'll enjoy and cherish it
She put the frame down and smile for the last time. She grabs a brown paper bag and went out of the bedroom
She heads outside and locks all rooms, grabbing her cloak and went out of her apartment
It was raining, it's a gloomy day in Konoha. She was on her mission gear while she buried her body upon that dark cloak.
She clutches that brown paper bag and headed to the Uzumaki residence
The rain started to fall a bit faster, her cloak was soaking wet but she didn't mind. At least that paper bag was fine
She was hesitating to come any further, what if he sees her?
She stop when she was feet away from the house, she gulps. Breathing heavily
How should she give him the present? How can she face him?
"Onēsan?" A little warm voice called from behind, she gave a fright and slowly turn around
"Hima-chan?!" She recognizes
She was carrying a shopping bag on the other hand while holding an umbrella on the other
"Why aren't you inside the house?" The little girl curiously ask
She bent down a little "I was just gonna pass by and give my little present to your brother but I don't have much time to stay cause I'll be leaving for my mission now"
"Is that so?"
"Yes," she handed her the brown paper bag "can you give this to him on my behalf?"
She gladly accepted with a slight nod "don't worry, I'll give this to him!" She assured
She patted Himawari's head with a soft smile on her face "you better run along now, the rain is getting heavier!"
She run along bringing that paper bag, Sarada watch her as she entered their gate
She stays a little but soon disappeared swiftly into thin air, having her last gift given by someone else precious to him
__________
Still staring at the ceiling, it has been going on for like two long weeks. The only changes are his window was open
The gloomy light shined his darkroom, an unfortunate day to celebrate a birthday
The door creaked open and entered the room without asking her brother's permission
As usual, he was still on his bed. Himawari got close in and drop the paper bag onto his chest slowly
His eyes are wide open, but she thought he didn't want to be disturb
"What's this Himawari?" He asks, still, his eyes never left the sight
She touch her forefingers' tips and twiddle them up and down, she has her Mother's trait within her
"A gift?!" She answered
"From you?" He lazily asks
"No... it's from someone..."
"Who?"
She was in silent for a moment, thinking the best way to emphasize the giver
"Just take a look for yourself, I'm not telling you anything!"
She just runs out of the room without waiting for her brother's reply
He sat up and caught the bag, he was sure it's not from Himawari cause she just told him about that, it's not from his mom either
His friends would give the gift themselves but who could be so secretive. Thou he is still waiting for her to arrive in their front door
Is the gift from one of those fangirls? I never mention my Birthday to anyone unless they are close to me?... could it be...
He slowly opened the bag, he was amused to was he saw. He pulled it out, a yellow scarf that was almost a resemblance to his father's but the fact is that it's yellow
Once the scarf was out a little paper flew out of it, it landed on his lap with the upside-down letters
He slowly turns to read it...
That handwriting is familiar, his breath slowly began to heavy.
That thank you word meant as a goodbye to him. Her last thank you was written on a piece of note
He didn't want to say goodbye nor even wants her to dare to try
But she did it, it was a moment of a horror where he did not predicted nor even try to think about it
He quickly stands up and grabs his jacket, leaving the scarf in his bed and that little note on the floor
His footsteps are loud for the two ladies to hear
"Boruto?" Hinata called but her son was too fast and went out without having an umbrella
Himawari runs to her mom's side "where's onii-chan going?"
Hinata's mouth went open and close, again and again, it did. She wasn't sure to want to happen to him that he quickly ran out of the house
"Didn't he notice it was pouring hard outside?" Himawari question, clutching her mom's cloths
They stared at the door, quite confusing. They were worried, all of the people who were close to him
Acting so dull and always locking himself up in his room and suddenly he would rush out from the house without saying anything
Did that two words hit him hard? Did she really mean to leave? Why can't she just give him a chance to explain... on how much she means to him
