The 3rd day after the second test, exactly Boruto's discharge from the hospital

He looks better, yet better only on the surface. You can still see that bitter face his giving

His surrounding aura is cold and gloomy, well who wouldn't be? He was accompanied by Mitsuki

Hinata is home cooking the dinner especially for him while Himawari is having a little meeting with her team, probably discussing their methods for the one on one match 4 days later

Not that he cared, he wasn't taking the exam after all. The hospital halls don't have many people walking in it.

Specifically, the ones taking the hall are him and Mitsuki. Slowly walking the hall, it was deserted. Not much light since the sun is still up

Mitsuki was just following behind Boruto's back. He almost bumps into him when he suddenly halted

The snake boy peeks over to see who did they bump to, it was surprising to see Sarada who was standing at a door who was going to open it but stop when she saw their familiar faces

She was carrying wrap chrysanthemums yellow flowers, she had her eyes set upon his ocean blue ones

Not long enough she averts her gaze, which made him almost broke down. His eyes never left her face

Sarada tried to focus herself to Mitsuki who standing behind, he smiled at her with the same smile he always wore

Not minding the heavy atmosphere, his pale hand wave at her in greetings

"Are you here to visit a friend?" He asks

Boruto was hoping it was him, it has to be him... it's unlikely her not to pay him a visit, it okay even if she's late as long as those flowers and her presence is for him

She awkwardly smiled "Uhm... yeah, I'm visiting Kagura..."

As soon as she said that, his body felt numb. His heart was yet again aching at the very moment

He was inhaling much to his original needs, it was awful to hear but she just spills it out in front of him

It was a silent moment when she decided to bow down, paving her goodbyes in action. She turns to her right and opens the door

He wanted her to stay, he wanted her not to go that way. Why won't she consider his thoughts?

He raises his hand in mid-air to call for her, but no voice ever came out from his lips.

He watched her go, he watches her go inside in Kagura's room. When she closed the door he suddenly realizes that there's no way she'd return back

He wishes that it was just a joke, a prank for him to be hurt. But the pain feels so damn real, it can't be a dream

He was breathing insane, hard inhale like he couldn't breathe properly.

He had an illness and the only cure for him is her. He needs her back, he needs her into his life.

No matter if he needs to punch a thousand times as long as her presence, her warm smile, her love will always be his

How? When just now she didn't give a damn thought about him, he knew she didn't want to leave but he made her leave

It was his fault and he blames himself for it, he didn't carefully choose his words and end up in a bad state of the situation

Mitsuki patted his back, making him notice that there are still his friends to comfort him, but can they make her come back to him?

Thank you for visiting, I thought you would never come?!" Kagura smiled happily in his bed, he was already sitting down

She had an intense face, she wasn't focusing. It's like she had been in a bad state before coming in here

She was about to cry but held it in. She made her way to his bed and gave him the visiting flowers politely

He smiled with a little thanks and put it on his bedstand table. She sat on a chair beside him

She was quiet, sitting there behaving. He didn't know if it was awkwardness or intentional

"You've met him, didn't you?"

She raises her head to see him directly in the face, a shock to what he just said

"You wouldn't be that sad if you didn't meet him... I'm the one to blame, sorry"

She lightly shakes her said "No, it's not your fault... it's just a matter between us"

"But I was involved in that matter, aren't I?"

She could say a word, it was a sign of 'yes' to him. She just shook her head, not wanting to answer anymore

Of course, he didn't blame her. He let her be and didn't want to have her attain an emotional ache

"Actually... it wasn't his fault," he started, making her lift her head up "I started the deal... he clearly won but he ends up losing you..." his purple eyes landed on her onyx one "I didn't get why didn't you choose him? When from the very beginning you two have been together like forever... and because of my stupidity... it cause you both to have a malfunction in your closeness... I admit that I've lost to him but you choose to help me... it wasn't a victory nor a defeat... it was the choice that made him do it, he would rather fight than give you up,"

His words were indeed touching but she didn't make a face to see how affected she was

"The doesn't matter anymore... it's a choice I made to leave him, it was an answer to his question... he made me pick in the middle... my choices are to go back or to walk forward... I had my choice and there's no turning back... it wasn't nice, I admit. But I no longer hold that decision since I left it there... no matter how far apart we are... no matter how far he is to me... I'll always be there to support his dreams"

She settled it at once, but she knew it was hard to move on. The last person she wanted to hurt her was him, but he was the first person that broke her heart

You can tell that no matter how far apart they fall, still in some ways faith will change their course. Bring them back to each other's embrace, to where they belong but how will their story goes

A/N: yeah, self (author)?! How will the story go? Hahaha gosh, it's a devastating part!!!

But I'm gonna have to skip to the 20th day of march in the next chapter... cause I just have to, and I'm no good at action story so let alone the chunin exam😅
