Let's skip a year. I'm 13, and happy again. After that day we got ice cream, we made it a tradition. Me and Harper would hang out every single day to get ice cream. We would make tiktoks, and laugh at every stupid thing we thought of. We did that for about 3 months. Then the worst day of my life came. May 6th. My mom asked if we could have a talk after school. I got on my bus with Harper. Harper was crying. "Holy crap, what's wrong?" I said, patting the seat for her to sit down. She was stuttering. "My dog died today..." "No! Sparkles?" She nodded. She's had Sparkles since her 3rd birthday. She was a golden retriever. She was holding a dozen pieces of tissues. I rubbed her back, being there for her. When she cries, her face automatically turns red. The bus pulled up at our school. I held Harper's hand while walking off the bus with her. We walked together through every class, except one. That one was horrible for both of us. I was in math. I got my test back from a week ago. I got a 6/20. I through my head on my desk, in disappointment. On Harper's side, she was in English. She got her grammar test back. She got a 10/25. She slammed her head on her desk, saying the f word under her breath. The teacher heard it. "Harper Addison!" She jumped up. "Did I just hear you curse Harper?" She sighed, stood up, and walked to the principal's office. I saw her walking down the hall, and asked if I could go to the washroom. "Harper! Wait!" Harper turned. "I have to go to the principal's office. I said the f word under my breath, and she surprisingly heard it. I hate today. My dog does, I fail my test, and now I'm going to the principal's office." She said, sighing. I saw a tear go down her left cheek. I wiped it for her. I cupped her face. "Hey, your going to survive. What's the worst that could happen today? It's just a bad day, Not a bad life." She nodded. I held her hand. "Its gonna be fine. I got you." She smiled, and wiped a tear. I walked her to the office, and sat with her before she went in. We talked for 5 minutes, and got interrupted. "Miss Addison? The principal is ready." Harper got up, and walked slowly towards the door. She turned around, and I told her its gonna be fine. She put a thumbs up and walked into the office. After an hour, she came out. I was in class. She walked back to her class. Before she reached her English class, the bell rang. I walked out of the class, and saw Harper. Her eyes were filled with tears. She was struggling to see. She hugged me. "I hate today." She said, sniffing. Everyone surrounded us, asking us what was wrong. I told them to go away. I grabbed our bags and took her hand. We got on the bus. I pulled Harper into the seat with me. We talked until we got home. I made her laugh a few times, but she still had tears running down her face. When we got to our houses. I waved to her, and walked into my apartment. I walked in my door, seeing my mom sitting there, waiting for me. "So, what's the thing you wanted to tell me?" "Honey, um... I know your gonna hate me after I tell you this but um... we have to move." My brain took a second to process the news I just got. I froze.
