"Fidget- F-Fidgetleaf...? What- What a-are you doing?" Dovetalon whimpered as she felt her wince underneath her claws. "Don't worry, dear. This is all your sisters fault-.... She snatched away the cat I loved. And now.. I'm going to make her mourn and never forget a thing." She felt Dovetalon relax.
"Well, do it then. Kill me."
Fidgetleaf hesitated, this was one of her only friends. She never would bear to be lonely all her life. What... am I- "Are you going to do it?" Dovetalon snapped. Shaking out of it, she lowered her head and bit Dovetalon's neck. "W-wait.. before you kill me.."
Fidgetleaf flicked her tail, listening. "Fidgetleaf. This may sound weird. Ever since your fight as an apprentice with Galepaw, I-... I cared for you.. more than that. I don't care we are both she cats, Fidgetleaf- I love you!"
Fidgetleaf felt her heart break into pieces as she let her go, she stumbled off her back. "You don't deserve somebody like me- I've only turned into some crazy cat- I seriously was going to murder-" Dovetalon flicked her tail as she got up. "H-hush. I don't care.. I'll make something up about my neck wound."
Fidgetleaf shook her head, as she darted to sunning rocks. "I don't deserve anything!" She wailed as she kept running. "The only thing I truly deserve is my place in the dark forest, I'm a crazy cat who nearly murdered you.. and now I'm going to rot in the darkness forever!" Dovetalon chased after, she heard her paw steps behind her. And before she knew it, she threw herself into the river.
Oh wow, Fidgetleaf is truly an emo. Anyways, sorry for the short chapters, and this book is a lot shorter than most, oh well!
